Detectives are re-appealing for witnesses and information following an attack at a bus stop on Christmas Day. The 22-year-old victim suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital following the assault which happened in Newcastle Street, Worksop, at around 6pm on Sunday, December 25. The man is currently said to be in a stable condition, though the full extent of his injuries are unknown. Two men, aged 24 and 33, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in police custody.

"This issue is associated with the particular way in which the Police operate these high-performance vehicles. Run Lock..... When a police car attends a scene and has its flashing lights on, the battery would be soon flat if the engine wasn't running. To stop that from happening, the car has run lock. The engine still runs without the keys in. To prevent the car being taken, the engine will stop and not restart if any attempt is made to drive the vehicle away.
