Should've never showed me this...I raided this Uni and Takamatsu Uni for 2 strikers, 2 wingers, a keeper and a left back. Some of these young players have replaced my starters. Hardest thing to find have been centerbacks...they're so scuffed in Japan. I did look in South America and ended up finding a 4th striker and 2 wingers that were willing to join on base wages. This save has motivated me to return to FM. Played over 1.5K hours this year and was really starting to hate my beta save. This LP series and this save has really re-energized me. Thanks again Jack!

With how fast the playoff games come, practically having a "second" squad worth of similar quality to cover tiredness and injuries is probably not a bad idea

A second squad would mean a weaker first team which I need to stand a chance vs Nankatsu

@@WorkTheSpace Very good point. I donno if it's a bias but, I've always felt that as players tire their performances starts to drop. With how intense the end of the promotion process is, having nearly fully fit players you can capitalise on a more intense game plan and push harder for longer, especially as you rely on the counter. The lack of out and out talent might be balanced out by having your key players available at key times

Currently playing a similar save at FC Agata in Kyushu. I signed 30 players all on amateur contracts, because I started 40k over the transfer budget. Had to sell my best guy and the whole B-Team just to get below the set budget.

use whipped crosses when you have Otsuka up front because of his terrible jumping reach but great heading

Think you should still keep Sakurai around, his demands may lower and he only wanted £250. He’s definitely an upgrade on Sugawara despite his inconsistency, plus he’s very good for the division and has J2 potential while Sugawara could only improve slightly. I think both would be enough for depth especially since Maeda was dropped to the B Team.

I've started a save in Japan because of these videos. However I've started in J3 with Matsumoto, somehow with no editor in use I have managed to go 8 games winning them all and only conceding 1 goal. I've just brought in a few free transfers and barely spent any money and walking the league.

I think you made a mistake in the end. Sugawara's potential was non existant while Sakurai had J2. Sakurais mentals was thru the roof and having a better personality and in my eyes was a better player both in terms of PA and CA.

I signed Yamamoto as depth in my FC Kariya save, probably the oldest player i've signed on FM he was decent player seems to have been given better staff stats on your save!

I think my record for transfers in one week was like six, also in Japan. I didn't arrange them all in the same week, but they did all wind up joining the team in one week.

One thing about bringing on a better keeper. When you have a shi* keeper, anytime he does something good, you feel amazed and it garners him good will. When you get a better keeper, the expectations are often that he will make so many more saves and big plays. Thats why I will often just keep a mediocre keeper, so long as they aren't a cross fumbler.
