@m_uz1244 3 жыл бұрын
@@stanprogressstanyang Well when it comes to chess you can't really break anything down for people that are unfamiliar with the game. If you at least know the rules of the game and roughly the values of each piece and have some positional knowledge then yeah it's pretty obvious Borgov was losing there
@stanprogressstanyang
@stanprogressstanyang 3 жыл бұрын
@@m_uz1244 , that's really not anywhere close to true. the rules and values can be taught pretty quickly, and so for anyone who doesn't know those things those people can be brought up to speed very fast. but even people who already know those things, and indeed have maybe played quite a lot, and who might even know a fair amount about openings and certain strategic or tactical principles, etc, there's always going to be a level of mastery that's outside of their reach. and so an ability to break things down and explain complex concepts in articulate and easy-to-understand ways will always be possible (provided a person is talented at explanations, which admittedly not everybody is). now, obviously the more beginner-level you wanna try to reach, the more explaining will be necessary, and maybe it's not always desirable to break things down that far. but,,, this was pretty much zero breaking-down imo. (but i mean, whatever. the guy's already really great at chess. it's not fair to expect him to be good at explaining things as well.)

“Punishment for his indecent offer of a draw”😆precise analysis and perhaps applicable advice in general chess play. Magnus Carlsen is a likeable champion and a well balanced individual. @NOAMBUGO91
@NOAMBUGO91 3 жыл бұрын
Its not just dramatic effect. She idolized borgov and he seemed somewhat unbeatble in her eyes. That makes the draw offer so much more tense. She can get a draw with the biggest player of her time which is a huge win or she can risk it all versus someone who she feels is her biggest obstacle. She is not sure if she can believe in herself and trust herself, thats the whole point of the scene (and the last few epsiodes where she lost control). I think it was beutiful.
