This was the REAL Monster Jam, not the joke that it is today. Drivers giving it all, no matter what, to win Racing and Freestyle, with unique styles that defined each driver and monster truck. Now, we have truck clones, the same tricks and boring tracks that all look the same. Whether it's Las Vegas or Detroit, Jacksonville or New York, it's literally the same: some ramps here and there, with something for backflips at the back end. Monster Jam today is a shadow of itself and I fear it will never reach the glory of the 2000s.

I think alot of Damon’s run after time expired was counted towards the score like his double jump & cyclone
@JackTheripper9113 жыл бұрын
Because they arent judging the 2 scores against one another...? 2008 had better freestyles, which resulted in more impressive runs. 2009 had more ended up having more runs end early due to crashes or equipment breaking. Which results in a lower bar set for winning the competition. If *nobody* is able to complete a full run, seeing someone *complete a full run* is already a plus in the eyes of the judges. Just because one event is newer than tue other, doesnt mean its somehow going to end up being better than the previous event, thats not how it works lol.

Nah you’re underrating Bradshaw’s run, very technical freestyle and took some big risks when you watch the rest of World Finals X It was a very punishing track

whats so funny was that year they did 4 judges when every year before hand except 2001 did have 6 judges & seeing how the 1st 4 years the winner won by a 1 except 2001, i will never understand why they did that

@@elijahmurphyy fan judging in 2000?
@elijahmurphyy3 жыл бұрын
@@koz1121 yup. fan judging existed until 2005 i believe, though i may be wrong, it might've continued for a little longer. but around 2005 they switched to professional judging, and kept it that way until 2015

Just driving them to the bone! No engine cut off because a wheel broke. Just pure chaos. Today’s monster jam sucks.
