I have and use the 3m 6in sander, and mine also gets very warm. Im not surprised that people’s sanders have failed. Shame too bc the sanders p nice otherwise.

I went red when my old orange brand all but stopped coming out with new tools until recently! I don’t really regret it since Milwaukee has such a vast collection between M18/M12 and they are constantly innovating!

I'm pretty heavily invested in both red and yellow tools. It's an extra up-front expense, but the jobsite versatility is really handy. Anybody need a battery, I got them covered. New tool comes out, I can just grab it without waiting for it to be available in MY color.

I've been won over by Milwaukee's innovation in M12 tools with some caveats - right angled die grinder (could do with a slower speed - maybe Gen 2?); the band file; the spot sander (dust extraction would be good); and the new 3" random orbit looks good for waht i do (although when that'll hit the UK is anyone's guess). Yes, they could all do with more torque, but hey! they're 12 volt. The M18 line has never interested me until these Forge batteries were introduced, and then at the recent Pipeline event the M18 packout 9 gallon dust extractor and compact debris separator - someone REALLY thought this through! Finally something that can be run off mains or battery and offers auto filter cleaning. As far as I can work out the new line of Forge batteries should equate to increased run time with 2 of the 12 ah installed, will have to wait for the reviews, but well done Milwaukee, this system answers a lot of questions - now could you work on a 3 gallon back pack extractor along the lines of the Hilti, that offers similar features and extended run time? pretty please 🙏

I'm curious as to why the Forge batteries would yield more tool power/runspeed, and also why the 12Ah produces more than the lower-capacity batteries. If they are the same voltage, and the internal-resistance is the same - then the current that results should be the same for the same tool (Ohm's Law). Thus I assume that their internal-resistance must be lower? Is this something you can determine and measure in your review? BTW I greatly enjoy your presentations. Thank you for these.

Hi Sarah, you may need to have your vitamin D level checked. My wife had been noticing a little thinning of her hair and finally decided to talk to her doctor. Apparently it is common for women to experience hair thinning after pregnancy with vitamin D deficiency. After taking supplemental Vitamin D, her hair is growing back in with baby hairs. She is also on permanent prenatal vitamins now too. Not sure if any of this applies to you but your hair looks very similar to hers when she was so worried. Regardless, she and you both are beautiful but I know how bad she stressed over it. I just didn't want you to experience that. Thanks for the great tool videos!
