I am old enough to remember the first dolls in the Barbie line that were black and what a big deal it was that "Colored" Francie was Barbie's cousin. I wanted her in the worst way. I still do but I did get Julia. My mother always tried to talk me into blonds because they looked like me but I wanted a variety like my classmates in school. What a beautiful collection you have!

Gorgeous dolls! I have Addy, Melody and Maya (my Maya is not the holiday edition and she has shorter hair). The Our Generation dolls are starting to have more diversity and I like the Journey Girls as well. I have all the ones from the Tokyo series and Chavonne is lovely.

I got my kindness club Rosa for $25! She was so worth it, I wish I had room for her in my dorm :( also, H4H has (or had?) Nyesha from New York and Lauryce from New Orleans, the latter of whom is biracial. I customized my second Lauryce to have gray eyes and a brown curly bob and freckles-- she's such a little cutie!
