Well I guess its time to make an Review of the AT-15 again. The Players now know the Weakspots very good, the TD Nerf hits the AT-15 hard and the Second German TD line is a very hard opponent.

I am on my AT15 right now, not my favorite TD, but it is fun when the match up is right, it definitely has a learning curve to it. I like the American line much more with the 360 degree turret and better penetration. But it was a great review quickybaby. thanks

Appreciate the review of the AT 15. I ended up getting the AT 15A premium as a crew trainer and of course it isn't as good armor-wise and other factors to the grind AT 15 but that gun traverse is really nice and a smaller cupola is a plus, too. I agree the AT 8 and AT 7 are horrible but I get some good times out of the AT 2 and hope to land the AT 15 soon.

in fact they have quite a significant weakspot on right side of the hull (that flat plate), which i repeatedly penetrated with 220mm of penetration on my e50... But their DPM and gun arc is just amazing, that will be a lot of fun watching that on stream :)

Its kind of funny how often you see people telling QB that he is wrong about something, or has done something wrong with regards to his videos. He's clearly an intelligent person, he puts thought into his videos and has a reason for doing things the way he does. Yet he always seems to remain polite and patient no matter how rude or ignorant people get.

Another strength of these tanks which I don't think was mentioned here is the fact that many people will shoot at the lower glacis plate thinking it is weak like on most vehicles, but it is instead the thickest armor on the tank.

QB, will you be following this progression and review the Tortoise soon? It's probably my favorite TD, and its DPM may be the highest in all of WoT. It definitely suffers at T9 and above armor-wise, given the pen of the guns it regularly faces (and with the typical arty load T9 and 10 matches have seen lately), along with having a much more AT-7'esque weakspot on top. But oh man that gun. At mid-to-long range, the damage that thing pumps out is epic. Keep up the great work, QB!

The Tortoise is a beast QB, Especially if you love the gun on the Conq. Dishes out DPM by the bucket load!

the AT-15A is kinda like the Jagdtiger 88, its virtually the same tank only a tier lower and with a 17 pounder gun. I really really like mine because it tends to get very good MM at tier 7, often putting you in games where you are virtually impenetrable from the front. also due to its MM its great for matching up with other tier 7s like the tiger in platoons in order to get top ladder MM

No I have the AT-15 and AT-15A, the 15A only gets the 17 pounder gun and 176 pen, so the Tier 9 20 pounder is really really awesome and a lot more dpm than the 32 pounder

The one detail you left out is that the area around the gun is actually just 100mm thick, allowing anyone with half of a brain to pen the front of the tank that is shooting at them.

This tank can be played as a sub-in heavy and so I run full repairs and a toolbox with a rammer & vents now doing an enjoyable grind to the tortoise!

That TD's side armour is thicker than the FRONT armour on my Lowe. I got in a head to head fight with one of these things. Firing my gun had about as much effect on it as peeing on a brick.

The 20lber actually has probably the worst ammo efficiency in the game, at 680 credits per shell dealing only 230 damage. The long 88, to compare, is 252 credits for 240 damage. Surprised it wasn't mentioned here, at 5:30 he said he doesn't mind trying to fire shots at stealthed targets because the rate of fire is so high, but you're throwing a lot of money away aswell.

No the AY15A is not like AT 15 same Armour but the 15A only get the 17 pounder, 176 pen and is a tier 7 gun, the 20 pounder QB refers to on the AT 15 is a Tier 9 gun with 226 mm pen

Biggest problem with AT-15 is 127mm mantlet and there isn't anything behind it. Hole isn't that big but auto aim points directly at it.

that gun is as jingles would say a dpm monster im only played it twice a the test server and two of them will hold a flack ever against a much larger push you will have fun with it

I understand perfectly, I use XVM stat myself just like I said in my first reply. It is not perfect of course. BUT if you see someone with 45-48% wins and 500-800 eff, I think it's fair to say he's not a player to rely on in a tight spot.

while it doesn't quite make as much as say the lowe or the type 59 it does still make a fair bit of money, and if you play it right you pay even less on repairs than normal premiums because you're so resistant to damage

226 MM of pen is not bad i mean when i had the IS3 with 225mm of pen it was still awesome in T10 battles so i think i might be better than some of the tanks already in the game but compared to the other TDS i understand your point but its till not the worst pen for T8s

But you have to keep in mind that the IS3 is a more mobile tank then the AT15, it can get into better positions then the AT15 can and get side shots onto tanks where as the AT15 can not out flank anything

I do love my AT-15 and while the gun has low damage and penetration it makes up for with obscenely high dpm. I am looking forward to the tortoise with its 120mm gun which also has obscenely high dpm ;d

How do you feel about the British TD's mobility? I know you like being able to move around a lot in order to carry, is 20 km/h enough?

That's very hard to hit, you probably need to be with in 25m in order to punch through that effectively since its angled well as well, aim at the commanders hatch on the tank or the machine gun port on the right if your facing the tank, that'll be your best bet to penetrate through it effectively ;)

The sad truth is that the front armor can not stop IS3 gun, or any better. It will go trough the front plate, front sides, or mantlet. Not to mention its nearly impossible to get tier 8 games with this td, let alone Himmelsdorf. Most games, tier 9-10 , open field like steppes and 5 tier 7 artys. 1+1=2. Good gun, but no where near 0.3 accuracy and the stated penetration. This was my review, believe me, I've been there with this tank.

Your gun also loses pen over distance, got bored of giving everyone steel walls from 300m. Smaller the calibre quicker it loses penetration. So against an IS3 at range you'll lose.

American-Good Tanks all round really. German-Very good tier 6 mediums very good heavy's and good TDs. British-Slow but great armor a lot with good DPM. Russia-Also just good tanks all round with some interesting TDs ;) French-Fast tanks with auto loaders and boasting best tier 10 TD in my opinion. China-Very good light tanks. There are several more differences and more in depth but this is just a really basic review I'm sure if quickybady compared it would be much better than this. :)

Crew vets, and if you can hold a gun rammer always use a gun rammer no matter what. if you want to hide and snipe get a cammo net or binocs.

I have never played a tank this useless when bottom tiered I think. It's quite fun in tier VIII and.. Sort of.. IX. Tier X it's useless. No armor, no pen, no alpha, no speed. Enemies see you before you see them, they pen from all angles without even aiming, you can't pen several of them unless they for some reason turn their side or back towards you. Not like you're going to flank them. lol Oh and if you should pen them, your damage is laughable. Enjoying it in tier VIII though.. Unless it's one of the all-gold-ammo battles. Then it's just as useless as in tier X.

Not true, it can be very usefull against T10, too, just stay in the background, it doesnt get detected often when hiding in a bush with the crewskill (dont know how its called in english), and just track them for arty/other TDs, wih 4 sec. rld, they are not able to repair fast enough. I did this against E-100, it showed me its side, i tracked him, he used repairkid, i tracked him again, and than shoot in his side, so that you make damage and keep him tracked, he was 200 m away, he didnt saw me, killed him allone just by tracking him and shoot his side.

So many clueless people that give up on a tank instead of learning to use it. This is a great great tank once you drop the "I'm a TD, I stay hidden in the back and shoot" mantra and start playing it more as a very aggresive heavy brawler and learn to shoot weak spots. My average damage with it is ~1600 in almost 200 battles so far, very very rarely using gold ammo.

Drojdier Boschetar Yeah, of course that's the problem. I got my 55% solo WR without learning about weak spots and tank roles. Moron. Everyone with half a clue knows where to shoot the AT TDs, so you have 0 armor against anyone who isn't a complete noob. If you get the jump (How the fuck would you do that?) on someone, you can simply out-DPM them to death, but you'll still be almost dead if the person has a clue and shoots back. I don't worry about ATs at all, when I'm playing other tanks. Even the Tortoise is just a victim most of the time. Great gun, but everything else is horrible against anyone who knows where to shoot it.

I think just play much more games mostily every tank in the british td line needs a hell lot of practice you can eat e100 to breakfast with this tank just a much practice makes it good its like the kv 5 you need to have a lot of practice this things are crap when youre not good enough in it but when you play it right this tthings can be better than every other tier 8 just practice nothing else :)

QB has a lot of reviews, and am sure he does not have the time to do an overall review. Check and see what you want to play and if he has a review. If he does not, there are other people doing reviews. I follow about six people to get variety and to do better with the game. Personally, I would like to pick his brain, he has great talent and insight.
