The crates are actually an incredible way to get gold. I needed to refill my gold for the year for both warplanes and tanks, and I bought the $99 one with 75 crates (NA server). I received 36500 gold , a type59, a Lorr40t, 3,500,000 credits, about 15 garage slots, and 25 days of premium time. Just to compare, on the NA server right now there is a "sale" for 15% bonus for buying gold- the gold I received from the crates would have cost $146 on discount. Then there are the two premium Tier8 tanks, and the rest of the loot. I really don't understand what you could dislike about it. If you don't want to spend $99, then even the $5.99 one will still get you about 1500 gold and maybe something much more. Just look at them as a way to get gold for 1/2 price, and everything else is just a bonus gift.

Yep - you do get gold at a discount and premium tanks so it is a good deal whatever you get. I purchased the $40 box and got 12,000+ gold about 2 mill silver, F30 and a Sentinel. 12,000 gold with the 10% discount is $51 dollars so yes it is a good deal if you are looking to stock up on gold.

Problem is the type 59. It's not just a way for getting gold anymore, it's an opportunity for getting one of the rarest tanks in game, but possibly a very expensive opportunity if you really want it.

I'm on NA server bought 200$ worth of crates(150 in total) and got a total of 97thousand gold, a type 59, and boatloads of premium account. I'd say if you have most of those tier 4 tanks then this is a viable way to stock up your gold reserves for the next couple years to come. In total I received about 400-450$ worth of items for 200$. Hope this was useful info for everyone watching.

You don’t have to spend money on this game at all. You just gotta be a “unicum” to “super unicum” to play without paying. Just get a tier 5 or tier 6 and run that for credits. It might take a while. But you’ll still being making credits for your tier 7-10

I've never spent money on WoT before, and I almost don't want to post this here since I'm afraid of giving people a false sense of confidence (I'm 100% sure I got exceedingly lucky), but here is what I got from buying 75 modern boxes: - All of the Low Tier Premium Tanks. - All of the Tier 8 Premium Tanks, EXCEPT for the Type 59. (I actually got the T26E5 3 times, but it gave me the Lorraine, and the Skorpion in lieu of already winning the T26E5 once). - A metric fuck ton of decorations, tier 5 and lower, no issues getting festive atmosphere level 10. - 5 ~ garage slots from getting the low tier tanks a couple more times. - 39 days of premium time. - 28,850 Gold. - 6,800,000 ~ credits.

Hey QB, I opened 100 boxes and this is the result: - 64 k Gold (includes one lorraine and dozents of Tier IV premiums) - 4.9 m credits - 55 days premium - T26E5 in 1st Box - Type 59 in 49th box - Lorraine in 96th box (was delivered as gold) - Around 12 Tier IV premiums (got one Sentinel, rest as gold) Quite nice, but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If you don't need this huge amount of gold and already have purchased the 1 year premium from the calendar, then I would not recomment buying so many (or any) of those boxes.

I bought at same day as Quiky did 75 boxes on the EU server, my results are: 3x T8 tanks: Lorraine T40 Type 59 T26E5 T26E5 And an another T8 tank, probably the Rhein. Skorpion G, but got that one in my garage already, so instead I got over 10k gold + garage slot). 2x T4 tanks: Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 T-28 with F-30 And a lot of more T4 tanks again like, AC1 Sentinels (which i had already as well) and more T-28's and B2 740's. Means more gold and garages slots. So I ended up with next stuff as well: 40 premium days 44.720 gold 4.163.366 credits/silver 9 garage slots (for the additional 1x T8 tank + 8x T4 tanks. I did not count the emblems and paint items, but got these several times too. All at all not bad but really good.

First of all, these are not LOOT boxes but, gift boxes!That means that WG gives you at least what you bought so if you spend €50,- on these you get at least €50,- worth(with a chance of making more(depends on luck) What I could subtract from the video, he did unbox a total of a T26E5, garage slots, 66 days of premium, 2.600.000 credits(silver) and because he did have the tanks already 64.850 gold. The crates paid for themselves with the gold and silver I received. With all the decorations I was able to max out my "festivity" for my garage and get all of the awards. I also got 5 premium tanks, one of which was the Type 59. Well worth the $99.99 USD.

FWIW, I bought 36 boxes. It cost me $75.58 CAD, and the sum total was 20,650 gold, 2M credits, three tier-IV premiums, 8 garage slots, 5 days of premium, and enough ornaments to jump me to +48% holiday bonus on Russian and +36% on German(with a few mission boxes and some crafting). For comparison even with the bonus gold for credit cards right now, I could get 20,700 gold for $93.90 CAD. I didn't get particularly lucky - no tier-VIII premiums at all - but it was still a pretty good deal even if I just wanted to buy some gold. I'm happy with my purchase.

Looks like QB got really lucky. To put it into perspective, I got 150 crates and received: - 89 premium days - 66,800 gold - 8,800,000 credits - 9 garage slots - 0 tanks (all 9 tanks that I would've gained were the T4 tanks, netting me 1200 gold each time) So, 150 crates and € 200 along the road, I didn't see a single T8 tank in the crates.

With the issues that EA has brought into the industry, and now governments are getting in on the action, calling to ban anyone under 21 from playing any games with lootboxes for purchase. I think it will be a hard sell to be able to have something like this next year. In any game. (Loot boxes you can earn in game are another matter entirely. Its the paying real money to get 'a chance' at something that's going to be the problem.)

I'll admit, I was pretty lucky with my purchase. So I bought the 25 boxes for $40, thinking that it would give me the best chance of getting just a single tier 8 premium. I didn't get a Type 59, which was irrelevant to me anyways since I didn't want it in the first place. Instead, I received the other 3 tier 8 premiums, all the tier 4's, 9k gold, and 17 days of premium time. And after doing some math, this added up to be about $220's worth of stuff. This is clearly the best purchase I've made from WG. Like I said, this ended up being really lucky. But that's the nature of loot boxes for ya, you never know what you'll get.

you will get a 100% discount on a tank of your choice from tier 2-5 ( if you buy most expensive ones and sell them again you can make 2million credits) from tier 6 the discount goes down to 80%,60% and 50% for tier 8 then 40% for tier 9 and 30% for tier 10 by upgrading the christmas lvl of your garage. i think this is the best christmas even ever in WoT,the amount of credits you save from the discount alone and the fact that you get about double the gold from those boxes and have a chance to win tier 8 prems.... that's just amazing plus the 38% bonus for credits,exp and free exp for a whole month i have on my tanks by focusing on traditional christmas or soviet new year,you can even push that to 48%,thats just insane!!! thx WG

Hey QB I just wanted to share my stroy concerning these loot boxes. Yesterday I bought the deal in which you get 11 Lootboxes 2 times. From the first 11 I got all the baby Premium Tanks and some gold and account time. In my third crate of the second Batch I got a T26E5 and was rather happy as you can imagine, so I kept opening the crates and 4 crates later I got another T26E5 and was confused as hell cause I thought I would get the Gold for it as I already got it. I then proceeded to open the rest of the crates and eventually got about 18k gold and 20 days of Premium. I then went and opened a ticket to ask why I did not get the gold as I already had the tank. After submitting the ticket I opened the game again cause I for I thought for a brief moment that maybe I didn't get the T26E5 but the T26E5P as well which I know now would have been impossible but in my confusion I wanted to double check that. So I logged in again and went into my garage and hey no T26E5 but a Type 59 as I went through the other tanks I own. For about 40 euro I got a T26E5 and the Type 59 which was a really nice deal I have to say still I share your concern about getting players to buy a lot of boxes to MAYBE get what you want. Anyway I got a really nice deal in my boxes and are really happy about that and 40 Euro is already quite a lot of money but I thought that if I get lucky enough to get one Tie 8 Premium for free then it's an okay deal. The type of boxes you buy such as modern or traditional determine which premium tank you get I believe. So if you wanted the type 59 you'd have to get the Chinese New year ones

The boxes you buy do seem to be different from the ones you earn for playing. te graphics are different and the decoration items you get are much higher tier to decorate your area with. Definitely get to tier X decorating easily enough and I had PLENTY of decorations left over.

Hi QB. You actually made 39000 gold on being paid out for premium tanks that you already have, so the gold received was really only about 25000. That said, WG seem to be quite generous when it comes to handing out the premium tanks - you received 17/75 which is around 23%!!

75 Chinese boxes = Type 59 and AC1 + 35000 gold + 4.5 mil silver and 30 days Prem time. Well worth the money. I thought I would never get a Type 59. Merry Christmas.

QB, in Meathead's video he states that you are _guaranteed_ the cash value in gold. On the NA server, I bought 75 boxes for $100 (same price as 25k gold). From that set I got the T26E5 (twice), a Lorr 40T, AC Sentinel, and a Type 59. I hadn't recognized the 1200 gold+ garage slot = "baby" prem already in garage. I don't have many "baby" prem's but I guess it is a valid theory. Any way to confirm it? Overall, I came away with a lot of gold (well above cash value) over 2 months total prem time, a sh*tload of creds. Let's not sell the ornaments short either. Those allowed me to gain the 48% bonus on tanks of 4 nations. This is basically 3 boosters running full time for a month, plus the bonus from the festive atmosphere stuff. I decided to gamble (and it IS gambling) on another set of 75. I made plenty of gold there, but no tanks. None. It is interesting to note that the in-game boxes do not turn up the value of prizes that the purchased boxes do.

QB started out with 41k gold and ended with over 106k, that's 65k gold.That would be a lot of premium ammo. Let's just hope that only a few people buy 75 boxes :)

Pity that WG won't allow a wider number of players get that Type 59, that's the main reason they introduced these lootboxes and that's why they will succeed. I got mine but nowadays that tank is at best nothing special when comes to stats, many other mediums (ever regularr ones) are better.

I have bought three full 75 boxes packs, e.g., 225 boxes, and I haven't found a single tier 8 premium tank. I see many people say they received the Type59 AND other premium tanks. How does it make any sense, that some people buy tons of boxes and do not get any tanks and some other buy just a few and get several tanks? I am really upset at Wargaming right now.

Skordo Wow. Very unlucky. I bought about 100 boxes. 2nd box I opened was lorraine, 2nd last was type 59 and all the tier 4 ones. And odley enough 65 days premium whitch is a lot I think and 34k gold

I am genuinely quite impressed with these loot boxes, I wasn't and I'm still not keen on the whole concept but at least it seems that the vast majority of people are reaping fairly decent rewards from them.
