The Sindragosa you see here in these cinematics is a Simulacrum. An arcane copy of the Original. Like its been established, the real Sindragosa is dead, her body was necromatically dominated, and used at the Will of the Lich King. Simulacrum is very high level magic, I doubt even Kalegos could manage it just yet, but I believe in time he could.

So many months.. and it's finaly here! Thanks guys! I am happy to see that you continue the WoW journey. Some of the cutscenes were cut out for you but you did not miss anything super big though. I'm glad that Dragonflight is less about the grand cosmic war etc and just stuff on Azeroth. Raszageth was a cool baddy, you understood her motives clearly and she had a amazing VA too. :D Patch 10.0.7 brought a few more cutscenes with cinematic one where we see the other Incarnets and big update 10.1 is gonna drop somewhere may/june bringing even more stuff. Keep up the good work and yes, Mommystrasza is both dignified and sexy. :D Take care!

The fox (Vulpera) is actually Alexstrasza's majordomo, a red dragon that serves under her. Visage forms can pretty much be any race. Earlier saw Ebyssian in Orgrimmar in his Tauren visage speaking with Baine and Mayla.

I just wanted to add this. Selistra is nonbinary. They use gender neutral pronouns in game. Their form is a female vulpera (played enough of one to recognize the animations haha) but I don't think that matters much. Chromie is trans though! Sorry if this is unwarranted or unwanted haha

this has literally nothing to do with trans trash btw. You should know that when u know the lore actually. IF we go this scheme, than literally every dragon is "trans". They just choose a disguise as they whish and find proper to wield. Onyxia and many other dragons used many disguises for watching the alliance/horde and many others. They chan choose what they want, even a freaking table they can be.

Yaaay, more Warcraft! This made my day^^ You are right Ken - Sindragosa is the undead dragon from the Lich King trailer :D As for Malfurion and Tyrande - they just cannot catch a break - something always divides them :''( Thalyssra (the purple elf at the end) is a leader of the Nightbornes (she was introduced in Legion and got married sometime now to Lor'themar, the leader of blood elves) and therefore not one of Sylvanas's sisters, although I hope we get to see more of Alleria and Vereesa in the near future^^

The thing about sabellian is that We met him long before wrathion was even born. He has not shown up though since he was introduced in the first expansion of the game. Wrathion hunted down and killed all other black dragons on azeroth to rid his flight of the corruption. Ebyssian remained hidden and was always uncorrupted. Sabellian has been in outland this whole time and apparently saved other corrupted black dragons rather than killing them.

I had to laugh when you mentioned that it would take a lot of soup to fill up a dragon, there's a weekly quest in this village where you help the main cook make a huge cauldron soup and he barks orders at you for like 20 minutes stir, go get some sardines, this needs more salt, fight off the encroaching animals that want to steal soup, etc. Wrathion is such a fun character but I'll never argue that he has the best ideas. Oh and Chromie's voice makes me think of 50's kitchen ads, so chirpy.

About the amount of eggs: Yes, the dragon population has been deminished in the past few decades by a LOT. Every single dragonflight had their own tragedy: Red dragonflight was enslaved by orcs in the 2nd war Blue dragonflight's aspect Malygos has gone insane and most of the flight's population has been killed off by players Black flight was corrupted by old gods Greens are mostly unscaved, even though they did loose their lot during the recent Legion's attack Bronze dragonflight is in constant civil war with their future selves (Infinite dragonflight) So yeah, every dragon egg is priceless nowadays

Malfurion and Tyrande's stories go back decades, since long before World of Warcraft. Been a fan of the night elves (Kaldorei) since I was first introduced to them so very long ago. The suffering the Kaldorei have been through is pretty immeasurable. To think these beings essentially live forever, so every death of someone they knew is mourned indefinitely. Tyrande and Malfurion are both over ten thousand years old, and they've seen their people reach their ultimate peak and be reduced to their ultimate low, at the hands of countless foes - most recently with Teldrassil, at the hands of the Horde. Not just Sylvanas. "I was just following orders" didn't hold water at the Nuremberg trials either. That said, when Tyrande expressed her exhaustion in that moment with Malfurion, I felt the same. I'm so, so tired of seeing one of my favorite fantasy peoples suffer endlessly, with so very little to show for it. They've been at the forefront of suffering more than any other kin in Warcraft, as far as what has been shown to us. Not to disregard the suffering of many other races in the warcraft universe, like the Draenei for instance, but it's the Kaldorei we repeatedly have seen and read taking the brunt of things over, and over, and over. So yeah, any time the Kaldorei are on screen, I get just a little more tired. I'm not happy with Blizzard, not one bit, for their apparent love of making the Kaldorei suffer. Their lore writers honestly seem to relish in their suffering, and I hate them for it. At this point I wish the Kaldorei would be just allowed to slip out of the Alliance, close off their lands to all outsiders and just be left alone and at peace. .. After burning Orgrimmar to ash, permanently. Yes, I am probably way too over-invested in an elven race that doesn't even exist, but I grew up alongside their lore being written, so. I've grown attached.

as a further note this is the third time Malfurion an Tyrande have been separated for extended periods the first being sometime after the war of the ancients Malfurion and the druids entered the dream and remained there until the third war started. the second after the third war Malfurion returned to the dream and was trapped within by Xavius during the original world of warcraft storyline.

the scene with the two elves are leaders of two different horde races, Lorthemar (the guy) is the leader of the Blood Elves (the blood elves are more or less what Sylvanas was before she was killed and raised), the woman, Thalyssra is the leader of the Nightborne, an ancient race of night elves from before the sundering. Lorthemar was mostly the one responsible for the Nightborne joining the horde, as the Nightborne share a lot in common with the blood elves ( the nightborne were also addicted to a font of magical power similar to the sunwell). Before this they did publish a short story where the two of them went on a date that was very cute. This scene establishes that a lot of time has passed and that the two of them got married in the years between Shadowlands and Dragonflight.

So excited for this!!! Was waiting so long, I will put any notes down below I notice as someone with excessive knowledge of it. (As it is my job to be so) 4:39- this is the "shortened" version of the cinematic, sadly there is a good chunk missing where wrathion gets decked by a rock, and razageth exiting the vault. 18:30- Black Dragons being of the earth are famously tough and heavy, so that hit was HARD they are brutally powerful when it comes to their brute strength, so yeah even with his size that was a good hit. 22:00- the fox is the player that the cinematic is following, the Vulpera race are fennec fox creatures that joined the horde in BFA, so that is the player. There is a dragon that takes a visage form of a Vulpera however, but that was not them. 27:00- Eggs take a long time to be made and then hatch, they are not limited but they are still children, so yes they are replaceable, but they are still their kids. However the blue dragonflight was sent nearly extinct by deathwing's attack as the blue were the first to fight him, sindragosa, malygos's mate was one who fell and died in icecrown before reaching the dragon burial grounds of dragonblight, filling her with unending hatred, which is why when she was ressurected by the lichking in the famous cinematic, she was happy to serve. Also that is her at 46:30. Although a mirror image of her from before she passed. So their eggs are MUCH more scarce and therefore would be far more worrysome to lose, sorta the same with the black dragonflight, as they were rather populated, but the issue of MOST of them being corrupted, meaning finding black dragon eggs was/is rather easy, but uncorrupted ones are hard to come by. Dragon eggs if left on their own will hatch into basic dragons, lacking any intelligence above being literally just animals, no talking, no visage, no nothing, just "beasts" however if they are laid upon the ruby lifepools or something similar they will be infused with the titans power, making them the intelligent dragons we see. However the primals do not like that being enforced, seeing the titans influence as a corruption, not failing to, but accepting that the old god corruption that instead risks taking hold, is the way, as they are the earth itself, and so they empower eggs with the elements, awakening them in a similar way, much more powerful, but much more unstable, and susceptible to the old god corruption. Wrathion is the grand son of deathwing/neltharion. Sabellion is actually one of deathwings sons. Wrathion for example calls Nefarian and Onyxia auntie and uncle, who are some of Deathwing's children. Just like all the red dragons consider alexstraza "mother" even if they are grandchildren or even great grandchildren. It is more so a title instead of "direct" And wrathion plays into it to try and seem a lot more important then he really is. Deathwing didnt even meet wrathion, didnt even know who he was, they literally never met, but wrathion is just full of himself. Sabellion was neltharions lead general and one of if not his favorite sons, he was left behind in outland when the portal exploded, to defend and save the black dragonflight, even curing them of their corruption. So sabellian is much more promised to the throne, and is a great leader and stratergist, wrathion has well his ego, and his willingness to do whatever it takes, even if it ends up doing the complete opposite of what he wishes... 56:14- the reason that dragon in particular is shown off is very cute actually! In the expansion legion, that giant dragon that saves kalec, senegos is weak and dying, an elder dragon, stuck within a pool of magic to keep him alive, but with our help gets the strength to leave, with him and his small remaining group of blue dragons, surviving blue dragons. We also find and adopt, and raise a small baby whelp, named emmagosa.... Which well grows up between legion and now, and well that dragon that roars there infront of kalec? Our little Emmagosa all grown up and strong!!!

Happy to see ya'll once again! :D - Without spoiling anything; the new trailer launcher about a week prior to this video *but*, in it you'll note the same Dragon(s) you observed escaping. The Incarnates. However, to make the speculation even sweeter, Iridikron (the one that looks made of stone; alluded to be the hardest to 'contain') is also the one whom was closest to Neltharion/Deathwing. He struck deals even we players/lore people don't know, but his power and what he knows and most importantly *how* he knows, becomes sort of a point of interest in a way.. Because no one else besides Deathwing up to that point knows about his experimentations much less what's revealed in their dialogue amongst the other Incarnates. Can't wait for that next reaction! Also, the voice behind the dragonoid in the beginning with fire- or well looks like a humanoid then gets turned into a firey more, uh, bad guy; is also the same voice actor for Garrosh Hellscream lol. It was a bit of a "hey I know that voice?" to the rest of us as well haha

Each Aspect originally had at least 4 consorts, with whom they would produce several children, but over time most of them have been killed for various reasons. Alexstrasza has none left, but Nozdormu has at least one. Onyxia, Nefarion and Sabellian are all children of Neltharion aka. Deathwing, although we don't know if Sabellian has the same mother as Onyxia and Nefarion. All three are thousands of years old, but Sabellian has been in Outland since the Second War, which happened around 40 years ago so he hasn't really kept up to date on some of the events that happened on Azeroth since. Wrathion, however, was only born during the Cataclysm, which is 15-something years ago and while he calls himself a son of Neltharion he is actually his grandson as his mother, Nyxondra was another child of Neltharion and we don't know his actual father, which technically makes him Sabellian's half-nephew. So that is why he and Sabellian don't know about each other.
@jeanackle
@jeanackle Жыл бұрын
"Half-nephew"? If Wrathion's mother, Nyxondra", "was another child of Neltharion", that makes Nyxondra and Sabellian siblings and, thus, Wrathion is Sabellian's "nephew", period.

1:04:58 is a bit of an in-game joke. That particular mission backfiring literally sends your character back to when you first created them. In other words, you go back to the starting zone. This is fine for pretty much every race and class...except for Death knights, where Andanormu is talking about hurrying up before anyone notices...and in the Death Knights case, The Lich King is literally like 10 feet away facing the other direction.

Some context. The little fox is the chosen "guise" of the Red Flight's current Majordomo Selistra. All the dragons have a "guise" they can turn in to when interacting with the mortal races. Additionally the reason the dragon eggs are so rare is that the dragon aspects lost their power and with it their ability to create new eggs, this was always a bit vague in lore as to why those two things are linked, but because they couldn't create more and the various dragon flights being hit by one disaster or another blue and black eggs are very rare, to the point protecting blue whelps was a major questline in Legion and black eggs were thought none-existent after the last uncorrupted one, Wrathion, was hatched back in Cataclysm as most people weren't aware that Baron Sable (Sabellian) was still in Outland (last seen in WoW's second expansion over 10 years ago) and had not only saved his remaining flight from corruption but also nurtured a clutch of eggs. This is also why Wrathion, who was only born roughly 15 years ago doesn't know his older brother (who was born 1000s of years ago) was still alive, given that he was quite literally on another planet up to this point in time. Now in game there's a "contest" between the two to become the Black Aspect. Wrathion has a lot of mortals on his side, but he also started the war in Pandaria, the War in Draenor and indirectly the return of the legion and later the rise of Sylvanas so he's done a lot of bad things. Where as Sabellian has the loyalty of all but 3 of the black dragons. Those dragons being Wrathion himself, one of the Black dragons from outlands and another one known as Ebyssian (Ebonhorn) who's only loyalty is to the Highmountain Tauren who he was raised alongside for 10,000 years. Tyrande and Malfurion sadly haven't had as much development as they had in the Warcraft RTS games. They were very well represented in the earlier lore along with Illidan, who is Malfurion's twin brother. Unfortunately "lore wise" Malfurion is an incredibly powerful druid (to the point if he'd fought Sylvanas one on one he'd have won with no issues) and they never found a good place to fit him, so between WC3 and Cataclysm he was actually asleep in the Emerald Dream, but even after waking him up they had trouble using him effectively so now they've written him out again

the bit about the eggs is nonsense, the reason you dont see Dragon Eggs too often in WoW is because the Dragons are very protective of them, but if they couldnt have eggs, then you wouldnt see whelplings about. no, the reason that you havent seen much of eggs is simply that they are very protective of their nests and the flights have been struggling to survive across the millenniums. especially the Blue, who Deathwing himself almost eradicated.
@tarrker
@tarrker Жыл бұрын
They also had the powers of gods, essentially but, now they don't. I don't recall hearing about it in game but, they probably could just magic up entire clutches of eggs using their crazy god powers. Now they'd have to do it the old fashioned way. Laying and fertilizing eggs can be laborious for WoW dragons.
@ZakhadWOW

there is no actual proof of direct link tying Wrathion's egg specifically to Deathwing.. We have no idea where the egg came from. Given that he was the apparent last descendant, but not necessarily direct child (perhaps grandchild is more likely) he's operated on the assumption that he is from Deathwing's last clutch - except we know that Sintharia (Sinestra) took those and started warping them beneath Bastion of Twilight.

Fun fact that blue dragon that lands infront of Kalecgos and roars at the Camera with bright yellow eyes is called Emmigosa and we saved her from being killed as a Whelpling back in the Legion Expansion 7 years ago. We got to see her grow from her Whelpling state to her Adolescent state! As for the two black dragons, Sabellion and Wrathion, before the old gods corrupted Naltherion (Deathwing) he had a clutch on a shattered fragment of a world called Outland so when he got corrupted they weren't affected by that corruption and Wrathion didn't come around until Cataclysm some years later after we the player cleansed his egg as part of a quest cleansing his corruption. In terms of "Brothers" that's because in terms of the Dragon family tree it only matters whose the daddy. So because Naltherion was mating with several different black dragons even after his corruption, they're still brothers because Naltherions the dad just different moms. Step-sibling relationships don't really exist in Warcraft, so yeah, they are both rightful heirs to the title of Aspect and the powers that come with it although they constantly debate who deserves it based on their deeds, Sabellion kept them safe on outland for years and protected the clutch there and lead them safely where as Wrathion cleansed the corruption of the old gods for all black dragons existing and moving forward.

I have been enjoying the hell out of WoW for the first time in a very very long time. Dragonflight has been an infinite level of improvement over the dumpster fire that was Shadowlands. And regarding Alexstraza's outfit. It is a vast improvement over her original outfit which was pretty much exactly what you said was wrong. XD Regarding Sebelian, he was a semi-important character from the Burning Crusade. He spent years in Outland working to actually cleanse corrupted black dragon's of the madness of the Old Gods/Neltharian. And did so successfully over centuries, while everyone else (including the other flights) just resolved to kill every black dragon they came across. The reason Wrathion didn't know about Sebelian is because he never went to Outland (Draenor in the normal timeline), and thus never knew that there were black dragons there, much less uncorrupted/cleansed ones. And honestly, most players these days either forgot themselves (it's been over 10 years) or weren't playing WoW back then. Especially since all of the content involving Sebelian was side quest stuff not required for the main story. And the funny part about the whole building feud between the Black dragon leaders is that, everyone tends to forget about the 3rd brother Ebyssian (aka Ebonhorn from Legion). I also loved how Syndragosa's image was just 500% patient mommy every time she said "Child of my flight..." in that specific way whenever Kaelecgos was starting to get on her nerves XD The two elves at the end are Lor'themar Theron, the current Reagent of the Blood Elves and First Arcanist Thalyssra who was the leader of the rebel Nightbourne Elves from Legion. A lot of players (especially those of us who play Horde) were not at all happy about the fact that we had a 3 year timeskip and didn't get to see those two actually get married. That romance was built up from the middle/end of Legion and all through Battle For Azeroth. Having the wedding happen "off screen" was just a complete cop out imho. Fun fact, pretty much every unattached female elf of high standing in the game has spent time hitting on Lor'Themar (including the very very dead Sylvanas) at one point or another. It's been a small running joke that Lor'Themar is the most eligible bachelor in all of WoW. It's just rather amusing that the newest contender on the scene (Thalyssra) is the one who ended up locking him down. And her comment about him rushing off because of a crooked painting is so spot on as to be hilarious. For their first date, both his chief counsel and the Blood Elf master of mages had to literally threaten to teleport him directly into the center of her city if he he tried to make any more excuses not to go on the date.

Bit more on Chromie too - the Infinite Dragon they're lost in time with, Eternos. Some speculation that they are, in fact, Chromie. Since the Infinite Dragons are 'fallen' Bronze, like Nozdormu becoming Murozond, a similar relationship may exist between Chromie & Eternos. If you follow the 'two versions of a being can't occupy the same point in space' rule of time travel, it'd certainly add weight to why the two of them crashing together tore through the timeways so catastrophically that Nozdormu feared everything would collapse.

@UltimateGamerCC

fun fact, the community was upset by Alexstrasza's wardrobe change, people were mad that she went from a bikini to something more appropriate. far as the Eggs business goes, they have been in various conflicts over the past 30,000 years, and they suffered incredulous losses, all while without their home, so they just havent been much in the mood as it were. Gral is the Loa of the Seas, him choosing to consume that funeral boat is a great honor to the one that died, for Gral doesnt even need to eat, at least not by my knowledge. Kalec learning about Family through the Tuskarr is a very wholesome segment, especially when Kalec is almost as young as Wrathion far as Dragons go. Sabellian has been in Outland for a very long time, like back in OG Warcraft long, and while he could've came home at any time, he chose to hide there while Wrathion was helping since he was a wee whelp. yeah, Anduin has been a focal point since Legion, much like Sylvanas has been, both have been benched for the time being. the Elf that reminded you of Sylvanas is Thalyssra, she is the leader of the Nightborne, a sect of Night Elves, Sylvanas and her sisters are Blood Elves. a portion of the community dislike Chromie, partially due to being a Gnome, partially due to being Trans, as people these days love to cry Woke, when a game is just adapting to the current world and being diverse.

I explained once about the six Cosmic Forces and how they each are the source of different Magics. I also explained how each Force is in a constant war with each other. This is what we see here. Each Force can be seen as it's own religion, this is seen mostly in the Light, the main religion of the Humans which is very reminicent of real world Christianty, but with the Light replacing Yhwach. From what we know so far, each Force also has a Pantheon, who serves as the Ruling Council of said Force. The Titans is the Pantheon of Order which is where the Magic of Arcane comes from, which is what we see Mages practice, and what the Blue Dragonflight watch over and commands. While the Primalists are followers of the Force of Life, which is where Nature Magic comes from, aka Elemental Magic. We don't know anything about the Pantheon of Life, or if there even is one (we can assume so), but there are also a few good followers of this Force, like the Night Elves and Taurens. So basically, the Primalists sees Order as a false religion and believe the one true path is Life, and this is where this conflict comes from.

It is basicly a cinematic you see when you create a new Night Elf Character (since the Cataclysm Expansion) it is because the whole part is a joke quest. You play with timelines, the tauren (dragon) say whoops, prepare for backfire and then you get teleported to the start of your level 1 zone, complete with starting cinematic 😀, where he pick you back up. Sadly, the story of said fox is a little less interesting that you'd hope. That is Majordomo Selistra, a red dragon of Alexstrasza's flight. Basically, all dragons are able to choose a "visage" form, taking on the guise of one of Azeroth's humanoid races in order to better blend in and communicate with them. Selistra is choosing to appear as a Vulpera, one of the Horde's playable Allied races.

The thing about Malfurion and Tyrande is very gut wrenching but, at this point, I think most of us knew it was coming. They've basically never been allowed to just be together. The Night Elves are a powerful race but, have a shortage of strong, reliable leaders.

Soo I will say backstory of black dragons left. Currently there are 3 direct living descendant of Deathwing. Sebelion - When Deathwing venture to Outland, Sebelion was second in command. Many black dragons died during war in Outland. Sebelion stayed in Outland and we met him multiple times during TBC. Wrathion - Born to a red dragon mother, ( or grand mother). Stolen by red dragons as an egg trying to save from Deathwing corruption. Wrathion was again stolen by thives guild and raised in his young years. Later found out wrathions caretaker in guild is a black dragon in disguise. Unable to control himself tried to assassinate wrathion. This lead wrathion into quest of killing all corrupted black dragons. Ebonehorn - In High mountain, Taurens discovered Deathwings old lair, tried to cleanse the eggs they found with titan artifact. Only one egg survived and growup among Taurens.

Just a bit of clarifying on the relations between Sabellian and Wrathion. Sabellian is Deathwing's son, along with Nefarian, Onyxia and a dragon named Nyxondra. Wrathion is the son of Nyxondra, making Sabellian his uncle and Deathwing his grandfather, not father. However, he always refers to Deathwing as his father, but he might not be referring to him as a literal father, and more like "Father of the Black Dragonflight" cause Deathwing was the Aspect of the Black Dragonflight. In short, Sabellian for new Aspect, down with Wrathion! 🐍🐍🐍

Ebyssian doesn't know a single thing about ruling a flight. He's spent the last, like, hundred years pretending to be a Tauren. Whereas Sabellian, while complying with Deathwing at the time (as if he had a choice), ended up gathering whatever black dragons he could in Outland, subjugate the Gronn and the Ogres, and actually managed to bring back black dragons who aren't corrupted. Simply put, he's done most for the black flight than anyone else, not to mention that he's actually directly descended from Deathwing.

So, as far as the egg question is concerned. No there's not anything terribly important about the individual eggs. However over the years of warcraft and the various events which have all happened in about 2 decades, or less. Has seen their numbers damaged by either us, or other threats. And while most of the flights are allies now, it doesn't mean we havent led to the deaths of numerous dragonkind either intentionally, or accidentally. So every egg that is laid is that much more crucial, especially to flights that have been hit hardest like the Blue and Black. which are damn near extinction. Alextrasza and other mothers can only lay so many eggs so quickly.

Sindragosa indeed is the undead Frost Wyrm that the Lich King summoned from ice. Technically she is also a wyrm and not a dragon, but still the Queen Consort of the Blue Dragonflight and the wife of Malygos, the actual Aspect of Magic. Kalecgos is literally her son.

@@Olochgu First of all - confidently incorrect. Sindragosa is canonically classified as a Wyrm. One of her titles is literally The Frost Wyrm Queen. She is also classified specifically as a Frost Wyrm. Whatever classical definition for a wyrm you pull from elsewhere, it is directly going against the Warcraft canon. You could argue that Blizzard messed it up, but for now even if that was the case, it would change nothing as she is canonically identified as a Wyrm. Second of all, when I said "dragon" the context clues should make it exceedingly clear that I was referring to the Standard Western Dragon and not to the more generic term which encompasses all kinds of dragons. Other titles Sindragosa has include: Queen of the Frost Wyrms Lady of the Frost Wyrms Matriarch of the Frost Wyrms The Frost Wyrm Queen Queen of All Frost Wyrms Lady of All Frost Wyrms Matriarch of All Frost Wyrms Fourthly, it is considered poor grammar to start a sentence with a number, even if not strictly incorrect.

@@Caldera01 even if we're just going by blizzards incredibly inconsistent definition of what a Wyrm is, Sindragosa would still be a dragon, as it is just a term for elder dragons (and all dragons resurrected by the scourge, though it is impossible to tell if that's just because they only turn elder dragons or use the wyrm term collectively). Alexstraza having certain sex appeal is more than appropriate as she is the aspect of Life itself and the Mother of Dragons. Thus it is more than appropriate to have certain aspects to represent fertility and sexuality as well as maternal instinct and strength. The Heroes of the Storm models of her really goes the extra mile to make sure she has the necessary maternal visage as well as the look of nobility and power. It also helps that she has a very strong physical presence on the battlefield as well, able to knock enemies around with the gust of her wings as well as the ability to keep others around her alive through literal fire of her own.

The Black Dragonflight politicing is pretty good storyline in this expansion has spawned a thousand of heavily opinionated arguments. There are two competitors for the throne: Wrathion and Sabellian (and it looks like a 3rd one is joining the competition). Most Dragons consider themselves the children of their Aspect and each other's brother even if they aren't. In the case of these two Sabellian is Deathwing's son while Wrathion is Deathwing's sorta grandson, so despite the fact that they call themselves brothers and Neltharion their father, they technically are uncle and sorta nephew(Wrathion's bloodline is complicated to say the least). Wrathion's claim is that he was there to protect the world, while Sabellian wasn't... nevermind that he did a lot of reckless manoeuvres that were ultimately successful at great cost. Check "Warcraft's Stupidest Dragon" by Platinum WoW for the reasons why he might not be the ideal leader. His argument with Alexstrazsa was that he was too impatient to wait for the eggs to be safe to recover his flight's fort, which was mostly a vanity project since until Sabellian and his brood returned... there were only living Black Dragons on Azeroth, which was heavily Wrathion's fault. He is mostly supported by the mortal organization under his leadership called the Black Talon and atleast one Young Dragon from Sabellian's brood that basicly going "Fuck you dad I want to throw parties". Sabellian's claim is that he was the appointed heir of Neltharion and that he actually saved his Dragonflight from extinction and corruption after he was left stranded on Outlands(another sorta destroyed planet that is not Azeroth). It's his actions the reason why there is a Black Dragonflight at all and they have not remained corrupted by Deathwing and the Old Gods at all, through he abandoned Azeroth and never returned until his flight was ready. Plus he has the military experience from the time spent on the Outlands and has been stated to have conquered the Blade's Edge Mountains from the Gronn (huge mountain cyclops that are the ancestors of Orcs and Ogres). And the Black Dragonflight is supposed to be the military of the Dragons. He is supported mostly by the brood he brought from Outlands which is most of what remains of the Black Dragons. It is a very complicated argument on who should be the leader of the Black Dragonflight and while most people seem to want a third option, which looks like Blizzard is going to give, I still believe Sabellian is the right to become the next Black Dragon Aspect.

i dont trust Sabellian, and neither does Alexstrazsa, he has been hiding out in Outland all this time and then thinks that he can just claim the throne? Wrathion has done some stupid and brash things, but ultimately he has been helping to protect Azeroth. and unlike some people, i would rather serve a king who is not beyond admitting his mistakes, than serve someone who's been sitting back and watching from the shadows.
@ashendant1317
@ashendant1317 Жыл бұрын
@@UltimateGamerCC He wasn't just hiding in the Outland. He was rebuilding his flight, protecting them from corruption and conquering Blade's Edge Mountains. An Aspect is the leader of their flight and Sabellian needed one before he could be an Aspect. The first action Wrathion did after hatching was literally committing genocide on his flight, which he now wants to lead. And the first thing he did in front of the Dragons that returned from the Outlands was literally leading a suicide charge against the recommendations of his advisors for what was for all intents and purposes a vanity project. It's reasonable to assume that very few black dragons want him as leaders, except that dragon who gives "fuck you dad" vibes.

@@ashendant1317 cool story, bro... but those Black Dragons were for all intents and purposes corrupted by madness, which at the time we didnt even think that there was a cure, it was either exterminate the mad dragons or let the Azerothians do it anyway. and you think that Sabellian should be Aspect because he knows how to hide and fuck?? good on him for keeping the Black alive, but he hardly deserves that title for that alone. meanwhile Wrathion has been doing his job all this time, not bad for a whelpling i'd say.

Wration has done a ton to help Azeroth, while yes some of his methods are questionable and caused some problems, his choices were made with Azeroth's best in mind. An Aspects primary care is for the protection of Azeroth, Sabellian has done NOTHING for Azeroth, and Wrathion has been on the front lines with us defending Azeroth on numerous occasions. When Wrathion was a new character, I liked him a lot. But over the expansions in-game and myself aging since Cataclysm-- he's probably one of the worst "good guys" in the game. That being due to the fact he never actually seems to grow up. He was born due to an experiment that purged him of corruption, and in doing so it also appeared to age him mentally to that of a drake (not a full dragon) as even Kalecgos stated-- he's incredibly shortsighted. But he'll preach all about the long-term vision nonetheless. His kin (strangers, cousins, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles etc) are corrupted-- he choices to commit genocide on his own flight to purge it of it's corruption. The Legion is a looming threat? Release a war-criminal that became xenophobic and gained a superiority complex into the past to bring a massive army that will invade Azeroth and either be it's protectors, or strengthen the denizens of the world that may survive to be the protectors-- never-mind the fact that you just doomed one or possibly both of the worlds. The Legion invades? Well now he's absent only appearing in a possibly future where a different character dies because now he's interested in learning about his people who he literally purged. An Old God being released is what causes him to come back to the main stage. Granted that's mostly on Blizzard for the bad story-telling but it's relevant nonetheless. And trust me when I say I hate that Sabellian was brought back with the hand-wave excuse that "he cured his flight" without any context-- but comparatively to the rest of his flight... he didn't come back to Azeroth until it was safe to do so. Sintharia (one of Neltharion's mates and the only one to survive mating with hims as Deathwing) went to Outland to create a dragon-species that could ensure victory for her flight by experimenting on other dragons that were RELATED to her. She came back and continued to work of Deathwing due to her madness. Like Wrathion is infuriating on so many levels just due to the fact that Blizzard won't stick to a story. Dragonflight has been a huge improvement but the "Wrathion vs. Sabellian" thing legit boils down to the fact that his Flight, all Black Dragons, are set up to fail because they have a far higher chance of being corrupted because their very power comes from the earth beneath that houses the things that corrupt them. So no, neither of them should be a singular aspect. It either needs to be both of them splitting the power or like shared between all the dragons in the flight to ease the burden.

Okay so hold up! The Malfurian and Tyrande thing is so stupid! I hate it! Like Dragonflight has been awesome and you had to unock this quest chain, and I was like... da fuq is this absolute malarkey! So for context, the old green dragon who's in a Tauren form and initially offers to take Ysera's place obviously mentions he lost and wants to be with his son. What the cutscenes don't show is the in-game dialogue while doing the quest where he tells you he's been wanting to die for 1000s of years, is depressed, and only wants to be with his son. The only reason he hasn't offed himself is because he has a duty to protects a pillar and will continue to faithfully do that as much as he doesn't want to. So in finding out this ritual that can trade places he is ready, this is what he wants, happiness is finally in his grasp for a good cause, and Ysera says nah its gotta be Malfurian because his bitchass got kidnapped and Legion and he cried MY WIFE! For a 15 minute quest which got Ysera killed. There is at NO POINT where it says it HAS to be Malfurian, Ysera just WANTS it to be Malfurian. To be for realsies the Winter Queen doesn't really care either. Like the lead of dialogue she's like fine whatever just someone needs to be here. So now Malfurian is there, which good riddens I hate him and Tyrande they are my least favorite leaders, but they told grandpa "I've given everything and will even give my life for the cause" nah keep guarding your stupid rock for another 1000 years and be depressed... n00b.
