I find this line fun to grind, haven't been so excited grinding a line for a while. Been having a fun time in tier 8, even though I don't perform as well as I do in a bismarck, I find it way more fun, planning to keep her for good and maybe give her the historical camo too. I'm excited for the tier 9 I will be able to get soon.

3:07 apparently while brawling a Yamato you can score some pretty nasty hits on her weak spot under the turret 1 and 2. The feature was introduced some patches ago but I have never seen it in action

Do you have any details on that? From PC, I know that there's a flat spot in the armour there, but that doesn't matter here, since we don't have angling. I was more under the impression that citadels are rng-based, provided you hit the core hitbox.

Not the same AA, but great torpedo protection. Fuel smoke. Lower calibre, so you need to get a bit closer. Absolutely devastating against any ship at brawling range. Wouldn't do that against a GK, but probably anything else. Can one-shot DDs close up. After the GK, this is the second T10 BB I'd enjoy.

There is a WoWS theory that Colombo was created from an unfinished American premium battleship that Wargaming never managed to release for unknown reasons. The superstructure and funnels don't really align with the Italian design.

This ship seems very funny and powerful. I have see Cthulhu on stream, and yes the Shima destroy on one salvo is hilarious. I have win the T6 techtree and the historical camo in a previous event, but only play a little in T6 resapaw... The fact is, we can be sure to see a nerf on this line, perhaps a little, perhaps a big. So not interest to grind the line without a vew on this points... And I have unlock the T10 Montana and Yueyang last week, so I'm short on silver and blueprint for t9/10.😂 Other points, I think the T9, like a lot of t9 BB (only Iowa seems good) can be very frustrating...

Did the math and with the marksman skill, you can get 2 salvos off. With the elite bonus and improved crew rations, your reload goes down to 23.5 seconds. With the marksman skill, the precise aim gets 25 seconds as we all know. The salvos just need to be fired as soon as activated and as soon as reloaded.

Yes, you can in theory. I find in practice that I usually don't, since there's a delay between pressing the precise aim button and firing (both are right thumb actions for me), leaving about a second for the second salvo, so any aim adjustment means I'm missing it.

I'll have to test that, the legendary commanders have always had the skill. The thing is, given that the alpha damage difference between AP and SAP is negligible, and AP has better pen to start with, why boost SAP pen, when you could boost AP pen using APCS?

hmm.. but if SAP doesn't overpen, and with the pen buff it gives plenty of citadels, why buff the APCS and cause it to overpen lighter targets? I can use the buffed SAP on all targets.. any drawbacks to that, Terry?

I told a friend that this ship was an Italian Alsace. For Alsace, I go by the 4 gun in 4 turret design. I think I had saved this design proposal somewhere.

Armour is better than on the French BBs, and with the fuel smoke, you can pull some pretty aggressive manoeuvres

381 working to good. Double Citadelling a german bb at t9 with 381mm. There are bigger guns wich have more Problems doing this. These things generally work to good in skilled hands. Hopefully i can rely on wg being wg and nerfing them to shit after a month. Only good thing is i use my midway more often...

Using the Marksman Skill extends PA1 to 25 secs coupled with the reduced reload from the elite bonus and consumables might make it possible to get two salvos off?

Yes, in an ideal situation. You have less than a second, I think, so you have to be really quick between activating the skill and firing the first salvo, and then be right on target for the second. I find that in a battle, that mostly doesn't work - even just a marginal aim correction means you miss it.

When hoi4 coming back? If you do another play through you should invest 10 USD or whatever it is Australian to get the battle for the Bosporus DLC back. Bulgaria, Turkey, and Greece get new focus trees and I cannot recommend Bulgaria enough. It offers a whole new challenge to hoi4 as you have limited rearmament restrictions because Bulgaria lost WWI. A whole new political faction screen that you have to manage otherwise you get rebellions, and you have limited industry making it hard to industrialize and expand. But there are buffs and things in the focus tree and political decisions that help you recover. I haven’t started playing Turkey or Greece but I have heard that they are also really fun. (Turkey, Bulgaria, and Greece have pretty big focus trees with tons of decisions now)

HOI4 episodes come out Tuesdays. I've actually got all DLCs, so there's plenty of interesting focus trees to discover. I haven't played Bulgaria yet, just Hungary to restore Austria-Hungary, and trying Czechoslovakia now. Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try as well. I'm already making a mental list of things to do after the Japan series.

These things were supposed to be played like mid to close range ships like in pc with meh dispersion? I know everything here doesn't work like pc .360 guns ,meh range,great concealment etc now wg gave it very good accuracy so how am I supposed to play it now war gaming lol. It's best not to Play dds for awhile😅i saw a clip someone registering 10+ shells onto a shimakaze at max range.that's scary.plus 380 SAP does full damage onto dds here in blitz where's in pc it's only 1/10 of the damage.

I didn't have great success even hitting Minos at longer ranges, let alone DDs. Might be a lucky shot at times? But a broadsiding destroyer at 8km, different story. Then again, DDs had that sort of issue with things like Venezia already. But certainly hasn't gotten easier...

It depends, really. At long ranges, you're reasonably safe, at most you'll take two or three hits. I've successfully rushed RM BBs - dodge their main gun salvo, like you would against a British, they might smoke, so just get into minimum detection, outrun their turrets, and torp them in the opposite side. While the strike is devastating, the guns take a while to reload, so it ends up being a matter of timing.

It's a tech tree line. You don't need to spend money on it, Colombo is the tier 10.

I had a brawl with one yesterday. It seems, up close, their belt is too thick to pen. You see how little damage the Ohio did to you up close? I wonder if releasing way overpowered ships has become wargaming's way of boosting the early access sale of new ships. They mess with the game balance so bad. While people who are paying for it are coming in full 3 men squads, there are amateur DDs who get deleted/one shotted in first couple minutes and it becomes a complete steamroll. It'd be interesting to see how hard they nerf it 6 months down the line. Maybe too hard, like they did to Vermont and then release another ship/line and this hamster wheel continues for eternity. Or maybe these people just free xp'd their way in? I don't know

They are pretty well armoured. I did take a spanking from Yama in the opening sequence at mid-range, but in a brawl, they feel pretty powerful. Are they going to be nerfed? IDK. DDs will learn to avoid them - you wouldn't also broadside next to a Venezia. It's possible to rush them, if you stay bow in and time the reload - once they lose their nerve and fire, you have almost half a minute to get around them and torp.

@@FunandGameswithTerry If you held your fire till you got close, then it could kind of work. HE doesn't work at all. You got to spec your captains for AP, which is disappointing because the legendary admirals Jellicoe and Nelson are HE. The AP is kind of weak, so it works pretty well on destroyers. Obviously you can yeet an incautious DD if you have HE, but you're playing at t10, so unless a new player bought something, that's not going to work. You need the gold consumables to make Nelson or Jellicoe work as intended. But yes, mostly Conqueror is an exercise in frustration. If they wanted to make it work in my opinion, they would have to jack the fire percentage up to like 40%.
