@@matsab7930 I imagine you're a noob. The Terp is great in the brawl sessions and for certain positions on the map.. However it does req a large skill level to utilize and most ppl prefer the point and click ships of the russian lines fx... I personally wouldn't recommend the terp but I can't deny that it's a fun and challenging ship to play - just because you suck in a ship, doesn't necessarily mean the ship is bad - it may be just you.

I love my Lonely Queen of the North. Have 1,300 battles with her and when I started to listen to this video I quickly jumped into a battle with her, got the rare top tier battle with her, and pulled out a Kraken. Just change the title to Worst Mistake "NEW" Players Make. German BB's just take time to learn especially with WoW games meta the last year or two.

While I agree that the ship is loads of fun, it is punitive to those who can't position themselves right.. and the "accuracy" of german guns... It's imo not a great ship, but I wouldn't call buying it a mistake, I loved it.. atm however I'm not really playing since.. well the game is more and more a campers paradise.

I've had Tirpitz since the ship was released. My clanmates call me Captain Tirpitz, it's my favorite ship. In a knife fight, there is no better BB. With my 21 pt Lutjens as captain, it is a BEAST!

I think the old German bbs are made obsolete with the new tree. They are faster, tankier (way less superstructure and Russian repair party and being a smaller target in general), way more accurate main battery and secondaries, with up to 16 torpedo launcher. Their only downside compared the old tree so far I've noticed is, that they get smashed when showing broadside, which the old tree also does, but to a lesser extend.

I have up to the tier 9 on the new tree. After several battles in the tier 9, I can tell you that FDG and pommer are much tankier. Anything with 18inch guns dumps on the new BBs.

Having played the tier 5, and just the other day unlocked the tier 6, I also think they might "eclipse" the only German Battleships in popularity. The Guns are definitely more accurate (which is already a plus) and while they might lack turtlebacks, their armor is pretty good, plus they have speed throughout the Line instead of just mid to high tier. Plus the Limited but Fast recharging DC makes them alot tankyer vs Damage over Time effects then the standard DC (as provin by the Russian BBs). Their is just something that feels good about sailing a FAST and MANUVERABLE Battleship (or battlecruiser in this case), hence why everyone hates the slow speed of the US dreadnoughts (all of them) and love the fast battleship you get around tier 7-10

Tirpitz is a fun ship, idk what you're on about. Granted it takes a while to get used to, and to spec the commander to how you want it, but it's a fun ship and I don't regret buying a container which had a Tirpitz in it. 800k XP on mine and all I do is yolo and get 120k+ damage a game

And for some reason my favorite premium is that tier 5 Italian BB premium I got for free because I took a break. I forget the name off the top of my head. This question also applies to the Bismarck as well, how are you supposed to play these ships in an up tiered situation where you don’t necessarily have the secondary advantage anymore and the Armor is less effective? Currently at Bismarck grinding out those lines and I’m having some struggles

Man, the accuracy of German BB is so bad. Once I shot a full salvo to the waterline at 8km with Bismarck and getting 1 hit, all other went to the sea. Still better than the American ships thought. Those ships are build for long range sniping, and can't hit anything with those slow shells. At long range, you have to aim so far ahead, you can barely see the target ship in the binocular.

He did one some 2-3 months ago, Vanguard it's a kind of worse NC in my opinion, it has slightly faster shells than NC and a bit more health, but the shells have really weak pen, they don't have overmatch, concealment is on par, maneuverability is slightly on NC side, AA too on NC side, tha heal is comparable (maybe Vanguard's realods in 60 and not 80 if it's the same as Thunderer, but the healing itself is nearly the same), and NC is tankier when angled. Vanguard is really nice as a historical ship since it's the last BB of the RN, but otherwise it doesn't have much going for her, maybe the HE that coupled with the good dispersion makes up a bit for the lackluster ap, but idk, other than the historical value it doesn't bring enough of a unique playstyle to justify the price of a premium ship in my opinion, even if the same argument could be made for Tirpitz, at least in the occasional brawl event it really shines compared to Bismarck

Thanks For your video. I have Tirpitz. Bought her after getting pissed off with Scharnhorst. You are correct when playing Tirpitz in close quarters but I get extremely frustrated when I land an eight gun shot on a tier 9 ship and their armour just laughs it off. And yes gun accuracy is very very frustrating. Anyway I’ll keep it laying it coz I like it 👍🏻

I can remember getting the TX and the AA that it had back then was a no fly zone. Then I can remember getting the Mass after I came back (I got a new computer back then) and just had fun. Now the Gulius Cesar is a great little 5.99999 tier BB. The interesting thing, the three are the ships I have the most matches in and I can still blap DDs with the TX.

It was prolly my first Tier 8 premium, but back then I loved this game and the only requirement a ship had to have was it was a historical ship so I got it right away, loved it... but I got it for it's historical value. Ironically historically the Tirpiz had better AA since it was the later ship of the pair and they added a bit more AA to it and the torpedos ment for basically sinking commercial shipping.

I bought one of these when they first came out and she was my first premium. I played a couple of matches, listened to Jingles and decided I was too crap a player to use her so I shelved her until I'd ground my way to Tier 7. I'm still fairly crap but I'm much better than I was then and I feel I can safely take her out for a spin every now and then. Personally, I think you should work your way up to a tier before playing premiums at that level. I really like my Derpitz but, I have more fun playing the ships I've worked for, including the coal ships, since I had to work hard for them. So when I play premiums it's usually my Musashi or Thunderer to earn a few extra coins to buy the next non-premium (Monarch's the next on my radar).

I can't remember the last time I played my Tirpitz. I have a Massachusetts, and its a better brawler overall than Tirpitz. Sure Tirpitz has torps, but they don't usually get close enough to my Mass to make a difference. And with Zieten out now, I'm not sure what I'll use my Tirpitz for outside of tier limited events such as brawls or convoys. Also, I have a Pommern that I play when I want to play a Premium German BB at high tier

Just like the Massachusetts, it's a close range brawler, and it get destroyed when facing heavily up tiered matches. The guns are 4 out of 5 salvos a complete joke, which is why it's a very situational ship. Even more so than the Mass because you get even worse New Years Eve party favor salvos even at mid range in exchange for drive by torps, and it's secondaries are barely accurate as well. Good luck using the torps in most random games with how most matches are the BBs camping the A and B lines half or more of the game, and only pushing toward the caps if it's then looking like a win.

Idk, especially Bismarck, but the entire old german BB line is kind of a "noob trap". You never see as much questionable gameplay as with people driving around in Bismarck / Tirpitz, the most common being absolutely hardcore backline sniping. But like i said: Those ships in my friend circle that i play with are known be probably completely useless in our team.

I use American and French battleship. My T8 North Carolina is a secondary build with IFHE secondary range is 10Km in my T9 Alsace it is 11km Vigilance and Torpedo look out on both ships and captains.

Since the New German BB line excels at brawling in comparison….they need to re-work the old tech line and make them extremely accurate with improved pen angles…..otherwise they’re just a worse line to play

I would never ever even consider using HE in a German battelship, regardless of Tier and Position my enemy is in. Rather use ap in the Structure of a bow tanking bb

Using HE with the Brandenburg and have been burning ships down like crazy in randoms, but your'e right wouldn't use it on any other km bb unless it was the scharny or Odin. I have all of them as well.

I got given tirpitz B somehow by the game, no idea how, and ive played WOW since day dot. At the time I had heaps of tier 10s so I have only used it for ranked and brawls really. Its pretty good in those type of battles. Torped qiute a few DD's too.

Don't have the Tirpitz myself but i have fought them, id say she holds up but she is not what she used to be. The torpedos really help with the "brawler" playstyle of German BBs (even if the stereotype of Derpitzs is they Charge in and launch torps only to miss and DIE), With how FEW BBs have torpedos i have to remind myself sometimes that they exist. The one thing the Old German BBs have going for them these days (not to be confused with the Battlecruiser line) is their Turtleback armor. Sure you still get absolutely CHONKED with AP pens but, at least your not getting citadeled (though the amount of damage you take anyway is debatable i suppose).

Well, guess what, Tirpitz was my second premium i got, i actually went and bought it since i had a coupon, i was looking for a secondary BB at the time (i don't think Massa was put yet) and since the ship looked so good, it was a historical steel ship and it had torps i decided to go for it, and i've played her a lot, it's my second most played ship and the one in which i've got the most kills. In now-a-days meta Bismarck is much more usefull in randoms since i never get to use the torps, on the contrary they get me to do stupid pushes and put myself in dangerous situations sometime, but that was a bit more when i began to play the ship but i settled down pretty quickly. And even if i began playing her when i hadn't my first T10 yet, i still managed to do pretty well in her and to have quite some fun, especially because back in the day the meta was a bit more "permissive" for pushes and aggressive play, and secondaries had good constant accuracy. TLDR, even if i began playing it while having little experience in the game (under 1000 bttls) i managed to have a good winrate and decent avg dmg, and now that i have 3,5k bttls overall and i decided to grind german bbs for the first time, and when i went through Bismarck i managed only 3-4k avg dmg more than Tirpitz, even if i have quite some more experience in this game

Hi, I am new (essentially) , and honestly have always been upset because they made Tirpitz a premium. Good to know she is still relevant. I was advised to wait until black friday and there would be a black one for 50% off? It is my favorite ship historically, I have loved it since I was a kid in the 80s lol. I just went over 102 games so hard to tell what I will want but I do know better, I need to be getting the bizmark and doing ok in it first before I would consider it. I have a lot of time in WOT and war thunder, and a bit of time in wowp too. Thanks for all your content. Its not just Tripitz its any ship T7 and above who do not had a 20KM range , when the game made it that majority of those in the queue are BB with big guns and simply can bleep from 18, 20KM. Where the same ranged and consistent, and effective means are not provided for all these ships , There is reasons why the queue keep seeing so many BB and how MM keep seeing 5, 6 BB per team and then we had Super Cruisers that also shoot just as far and as accurate ...

It's really funny how newbies are attracted to buying Tirpitz because she is Bismarck's sistership who is know for tanking continues bombardment from the royal navy for hours before sinking even though the two sisterships never met and Tirpitz was practically just a glorified target practice for the royal air force and needlessly wasted man power to guard and operate her despite not having any contribution to the war.

I agree on some level. I don't think the Tirpitz is bad. However, in the CV, sub and DD environment, the hydro on Bismarck just makes it better. Also, there's the fact that I feel Pommern is just better. Yes, different tiers. But I always seem to get double uptiered....so same matches.

if its German and a t8 premium in a WG game expect the worst from the player behind its controls to the point it will give the SEA server playerbase a run for its money

a very good ship in the hands of skilled player and a bit more forgiving for new players than other ships. Ships like that present a skilled player lots of option at various ranges

I bought the Tirpitz the first day I played. Didn't play her though. At least until I got to Tier 8 with tech line ships. Didn't want her to be just another Derpitz.

If I’m not mistaken I believe Bismarck’s secondaries have better range (~12 km) while tirpitz kept the old 11.6 KM range in her secondaries in full build.

yea the tripitz is kinda nice. I play the gniseneu bcz the torps give that feeling of confidence, the same goes for tripitz. German guns are always wacky, not performing either you expect it or not...But the HE spam is overwhelming, so better off with a snipy bb

Ranked she is fun since you're only facing your tier which is the 16inch. But I quit random long ago since being double uotiered got old for me. Convys she and Lenin are indeed fun. I was brawl would allow t8 as that would be super fun. 👌

I have a 21 pt commander on my tirpitz to farm elite commander xp. I feel confident in my tirptiz facing any 16 inch gun BB. The trick is to get in close.
