Watching Dunkirk the movie is the scariest war movie I have ever watched, I was in the cinema. The sounds of suffering and screaming of soldiers gave me goosebumps, especially gunfires and aircraft engine sounds. It was scary, but I am very happy that ordinary people all came out to help those stuck on France back to Dunkirk.

The Medway Queen is still around and you could sail on it like it did Pre-war. Although I believe they had issues keeping it maintained and it's gone to a dry dock for restoration last I heard. not sure is she is out and running again.

On Monday 3 June Vice Admiral Ramsey gave the order that all ships were to leave Dunkirk by 2.30 the following morning. This was the Medway Queen's seventh trip. She was at the mole in Dunkerque when a destroyer moored astern of her was driven forwards by an explosion and smashed her starboard paddle box, she sustained considerable damage. Medway Queen limped back to Dover with 400 French soldiers on board. By then, she had rescued 7,000 men.[7]

The War Office made the decision to evacuate British forces on 25 May. In the nine days from 27 May-4 June, 338,226 men escaped, including 139,997 French, Polish, and Belgian troops, together with a small number of Dutch soldiers, aboard 861 vessels (of which 243 were sunk during the operation). Yep I was wrong, a too strong momentum of patriotism. Even if 2 million of French solidiers were captured there were only 35 000 at Dunkerque/Dunkirk (last resistance but cannot go to the port). The saved french continued the war until the armistice too. Next time i'll do some research ^^

On the other hand, these soldiers could fight. The Allies were forces, superior forces of the Reich. They had Navy and air force. Dunkirk was a much better defensive position than Stalingrad. But for some reason, the Allies chose to escape, presenting the Wehrmacht all they heavy weapons.

If you want to make a video called "Heroes of Dunkirk", why not talk for once about the heroic sacrifice of the French soldiers who held the German Divisions off for nearly a week while heavily outnumbered and with low supply to protect the evacuation ? At the siege of Lille around 40000 of them bravely resisted against 7 German Divisions (3 of them were Panzer Divisions) for 5 days and the remnants of the French army defended Dunkirk till the end and were ultimately left behind... This act of unsung heroism has little to nothing to do with Muslims and feminism. If a woman sailed on her private civilian ship then she is among those civilians who brought many soldiers to safety. That is all. Do not let Muslims and Hindus and Black Africans and Middle Easterners distort history painting themselves as contributors. Not at civilization's and humanity's expense. Acknowledge those who contributed. Oddly today's enemies are Muslims and Hindus that yesterday the Allies saved.
