World of Warships Legends Mobile is a Challenge

Coming from Warships Blitz, I expected the lower tiers on Legends Mobile to be relatively easy. After all, players will just be sailing around without much of a clue, right?
Well, turns out, it's actually a lot more of a challenge than I thought.

Legends is designed for console and for a console audience, and then adapted to mobile. Blitz is a mobile game designed for a mobile audience. I do most of my gaming on a mobile phone these days, as that’s all I have time for, and thus far in my experience Blitz is better for that platform than either Legends or War Thunder Mobile (another game ported to mobile, which is very good on a tablet but on a mobile phone screen it just doesn’t work as well).

I do agree as former blitz player here people in T3 is really know what they're doing like you're playing a T9-10 games in blitz yea but not everyone, even the great players got outplayed and make fatal mistakes, i remember playing T3 games was just pretty rough experience for me since i feel everyone already have covered every basic, advanced things and tricks they can pull as much as possible in blitz. Btw just a friendly tips do you know that you can change the lock target by tapping the enemy names?, and you can enlarge the map view by holding the map button? i personally find enlarging the map sometimes can be really useful to improve our overall awareness even by just doing it at least 2 seconds in most of cases like your clip in 4:05 and the one you want to engage a BB. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYekg2auf6qbgJIsi=7dP9h7aMLp27vxbv I suggest you to watch this video or some from Let um peek to raise the general knowledge about the game, improve your decision making and play like a legends players. I'm just trying to translate my Blitz knowledge over, there's still a lot I have to learn. I'm lacking experience with the map layouts, which is a major hindrance, and the armour schemes and gun / shell specifics as well. It'll come with practice :)

Better in terms of hitting mechanics, blitz just has you hit with all the shells and citadels aren’t even that much damage, whilst legends here the hitting mechanics are much better in my opinion as it actually rewards you for good accuracy. The map is also bigger so destroyers don’t instantly get to rush you.

I agree WOWSB doesn't even look like its PC counterpart, WOWSLM is more realistic and more of a challenging grind hell hole The only thing i hate are the matchmaking, since i sometime 1-0 mobile player beside me is in every match

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I'm trying to remember is, in Blitz, we are only playing against people on mobile like Android and iOs. Meanwhile, doesn't Legends feature a crossplay feature with Xbox and Playstation? These people on non-mobile platforms are most likely the reason why Legends seem to have a much higher skill ceiling. They're more familiar with the in-game mechanics since it's more similar to WoW PC. It'd make more sense since you have to have a dedicated device to play WoWs Legends and PC, while in Blitz you only need a smartphone and you can easily go 'pew pew haha funny warships shoot shoot'.

I've seen plenty of videos that complain about Legends players doing dumb stuff, but I agree, Legends at tier 3/4 feels like Blitz at T10. What I don't know is if it's an upwards curve at higher tiers, but I've unlocked the Bayern (tier 5), and I've been having my ass handed to me comprehensively (we're talking maybe 10k damage) 5 games in a row, so I'm inclined to think that the ceiling is somewhat higher as well. I might also be too aggressive, which makes sense in Blitz (smaller map, faster-paced battles, aggression wins games), whereas here, positional play is _everything_

@@FunandGameswithTerry you can not go aggressive as easily in legends than you can in blitz, you have to more or less plan more before going in. And as for the videos about players doing dumb things, I think that’s with every game of WoWs, hell I see more of it watching theMightyJingles videos of the Pc version, doesn’t mean legends doesn’t have it

​@FunandGameswithTerry here in WOWS legends, it's more like WoWs PC. I got my ass WHOOPED so many times. Have you ever heard of a MONTANA getting one shot by a Yamato or something? One hit. Nothing more. Or getting citadels from a Salem? Or a Salem getting blown to bits by a single shot from a lower tier German heavy cruiser? Or even a heavy cruiser like Napoli or a battleship like the Iowa losing half their HP on a single well placed well aimed torpedo? This was because I was still playing like Blitz. And boy Blitz is a whole different story. Tier V in WoWs and legends Tier IV is harder than tier IX blitz. And Tier X and tier VIII in legends is like...if you have no map awareness, no AMAZING aimbot level aiming. You WILL die first thing. You'll see what I mean.

I think I’ll like this game better than blitz,you can’t do a trip run on battleships and make it out alive, and giving flat broadside to big guns is asking to get blapped,whereas in blitz it’s still gonna hurt but probably not lethal if full health,are detonations a thing in legends? On PC occasionally you can get the lucky shot and blow up any ship with full health to deleted, and occasionally be the unlucky recipient too, but I have it ready to download as soon as it’s available for everyone,I think I’m gonna like it

Yes the magazine detonation is a thing here it can be triggered by both shells and torps

I'm tinken you would have many refugees from the blitz already and the console people as such. An old hand is Hide Hound from the console, I have followed him and some of his cohorts for the whole WG experience. This could be a nice change from the blitz groupen! I'm worried however about the system requirements. As of now google says my phone won't do. As always... Richard Berner

I think the highest tier I've got so far is tier 6. I'm still pretty much at the beginning of my journey there, but I'll be having some T5 / T6 battles as well, and as soon as I make it higher, you'll get to see it 😅

Legends is lot more challenging on mobile. Specially with bb. I hope the button reorganization will be better tomorrow. Think thats a pain

They did make some changes to the button layout in the last major update, it's a lot better than it used to be. I think the biggest challenge for me is that I don't know the map layouts by heart, which is just drawing way too much focus away from situational awareness. Or, in other words, I have to not just dodge incoming fire, but incoming islands as well ;) But screen size does play a role here, too.

​@@FunandGameswithTerryaboyt the map layout it can be memorized later on when you play enough games to remember them but the most important is always plan and watch your surrounding most of time of course use the overview camera to watch your surroundings and plan ahead 😊

Can you plz make ground battle on war thunder mobile because you said that you review it on some other time. I like to play tier 3 and 4 because I have some favorite ships there (iwaki, nicholas, kamikaze) and I consider myself to be a pretty good player based on past performances (I also see good players I play with and against too). So it's not surprising you are having "tougher" matches due to player skill level at those tiers.

I wouldn't say it's better, actually. The games are different. Blitz focuses on quick decision making, and has a much weaker "role" system - i.e. you probably shouldn't cap in a BB, but can totally do it and 1v1 a destroyer if you know what you're doing. Legends is slower, more team - dependent, and with much stronger role distribution - try "tanking" in a BB in open water. Cruisers will just burn you down in a minute.

From what I understand so far, that's not implemented on mobile - same with permanent camos or aircraft carriers. I don't have insights into if or when that's planned to be added, though.

as a german BB player, Legends are absolutely better than Blitz. Auto Secondary Guns, 15 Minutes Battle Time, Better Game Mechanics. its just perfect. unlike Blitz that you need to control all your weaponry (including Main Battery, Secondary Battery, and Torpedoes), 5-7 Minutes per battle (too short for a warship game), and a lot of weird stuff that is not realistic. i know a lot of people will disagree with me, but honestly im saying the truth.

You’re not “saying the truth”, you’re stating an opinion. Besides, as someone who quite regularly plays German BBs and BCs in Blitz, you still need to control all your weaponry, including main guns, secondaries and torpedos.

@@kardy12 pay to win products? dead game? stealing World of Warships Legends Mobile videos for ads? and yes, whats the point of controlling your secondary battery? if theres 2 ships on different sides of your ship, what are you going to do? especially when they are a destroyer, its better for secondary battery to shoot automatically, so we can focus more on Main Battery/Torpedoes.

@@user-ul4jt3ro2w Aah yes the old “dead game” trope. 😂 As for “pay to win”, the biggest cancer in blitz is CVs, premium or tech tree - there are very few genuinely p2w surface ships that don’t require any skill. As for your obsession with secondaries, I’m afraid you’ll have to see a shrink about that. Personally, getting to secondary range with Schlieffen or Rupprecht and unleashing mains, secondaries and torps is what makes the experience fun. And if your mental processing capacity can’t handle manual secondaries, they also have autosecondaries to lighten the load 😂😂😂

Itll be nice to have another option that is the same game but laid out differently. I do like how it seems less p2w like Blitz, which has become more and more the poster child for.
