mehdontcare1000 as a new player I usually can’t tell if a ship is Russian by name and just start turning in with any torps. Also tried to use torp with Kirov, didn’t end well.

AndyH 1 play long enough and you will recognize then by shape, fire arcs, the time frame of salvos, how much hang time round will have ect. You just need to take a-lot of abuse to figure it out first.

The gremmy is still a fun little ship, it is her rudder that makes her fun. With such slow turning guns though, you really have to think ahead and get those turrets moving ahead of time. PLUS, with her rudder you can aim by turning the ship too, fine tuning your course between salvos.

20:11 The true reasons is BBs are easy damage for carriers, while Tier 4 CVs anti-air defenses will wipe out most Tier 4 air attacks. Even if these two friendly CVs had been smart enough to have maneuvered out of BB's gun range, they would still attack the BBs. As for those two enemy Hoshos, they were being stupid to stay by themselves when a higher tier enemy DD was on the loose. They just don't like thinking.

Got my Gremyaschy in a Christmas crate 2017 IIRC. With a 4 km plus stealth firing window, it was ridiculous. Now it’s just a very nice Tier 6 DD with Tier 5 matchmaking. The special Russian captain helps make the turret traverse perfectly workable. Concealment is 6.1 km with my build IRRC.

Philomel is using a lowbie captain without concealment expert and survivability expert and still manages to carry the team. Great job! If you play the Gremy with a special captain like Ovechkin, then you will bring the most out of this ship; decent turret traverse and a large health pool for the tier. I won my Gremy from a super container on Christmas Eve, 2 years ago and I admit my nipples got hard. If seal clubbing is wrong then I don't want to be right!

One of the best ships in the game even now. I love mine. You can stretch main battery range to 14.3 km with Advanced Firing Training. The trick with the guns is to aim by turning the ship.

Those tier 4 carriers may only drop 1 torp at a time but when played right I can usually get around 40-50k damage per game just off the torps

I almost never use my torpedo bombers in my Langley. I rack up good damage numbers and XP focusing on rockets and bombs. Either, if they're well aimed, will deliver more damage. I only use torps against isolated BBs or CVs at the end of the match, trying to get floods on already burning targets.

Teamwork happens, when you read the map, read the battle, pay attention to what's going on, focus your firepower, on one target at the time, and don't hesitate, to help out allies, to keep them in battle for as long as possible.... but of course if they want to die and get on to the next, in stead of trying to see what they can do in this current battle, meh, their choice

I dont know about the EU server but on the American server chasing a fast moving smoke producing destroyer is a good way to get your aircraft shot down and to wait hours to get new ones loaded

I might have wargamings next April special figured out. Two teams of 10 carriers, some ai destroyers cruisers and a battleship or two on each team trying to delete each other (and respawning after a couple minutes) winning team obliterates more than half of the hostile carriers by any means, be it carrier battleship destroyer or some moron being rammed by a cruiser. Plenty of tactics available, compel the screening force to leave open a flank for cruisers or destroyers to sneak in, just fly around the cruisers to bomb exposed carriers yourself. Or defend our fleet by forcing the battleships to keep manouvering and prevent turrets from firing at your cruisers.

They run until either max range or hitting something. Which is what makes the Japanese Type 93 long lances so dangerous.

As a BB player I never assume I’m out of torp range unless for a fact have visual contact on torps when launched from and do quick math. But most of the time its safer to just maneuver just in case
