Belarus is not in the EU, which is unfortunate for the Belorussians, because they could probably kick Lukashenko out more easily if they were. And he'd definitely be more likely to face charges for his human rights abuses. Lots of companies set up international corporate offices in Cypress because it IS in the EU, but has nice relaxed tax and finance laws. Azur Lane is, in fact, Chinese. Poland ain't perfect, but it's earned a better rep in the game industry (and in general) than that!

Data protection argument is bollocks. You simply add into the TOS, that if you break any of the rules you agree to your user name and sanction being published and/or shared in any format. I've seen people farm Kraken, High Caliber, and Confederate awards all day. Arguably the most prestigious award in the game is the Solo Warrior. "Stand alone against at least 4 enemy ships and win the battle" is a task that nobody wants.

There was a game called Guild Wars wherein this got dealt with very publicly. The character Death would descend upon your character, swing his scythe through you, and you and everyone in line of sight got to watch it happen to you live. Your account was immediately confiscated with no refund. This was only possible because Guild Wars development staff commonly played the game as part of their job. If they saw it happen, they could punish on the spot with no conversation. It was very comforting to those who suffered at the hands of these @$$#o!e$.

It's a bullshit answer used as an excuse not to send ANY response to tickets. This way it's impossible to say whether tickets were processed or not. Behaving like an asshole in a PUBLIC game is a PUBLIC event. By saying that X (which is a public, well-known PSEUDONYM) broke Y rules (which are public) in a particular game (which is a public event) and consequently got the sanction Z (as detailed by the aforementioned public EULA) is NOT "disclosing private information". It's being transparent. You just have to see how long it's taking the dev team to add the minimap to the list of blacklisted interactions to realize the support team, which is most likely mainly made out of underpaid temp workers who hate their job, just don't give a DAMN about your user experience. All they want to do is tell their bosses they've met their daily ticket closure quotas, and if no one can tell when they closed the ticket without even reading it it's all the better. Incidentally, it's probably the reason why they ask for a replay, even though I suspect they might have to keep the chat logs around for legal reasons anyway.

Jingles forgot to mention the Solo warrior award. It's a very rare award to see anywhere and it's been only a couple of weeks since he posted the previous one. I think we've all missed the your the last hope voice message, because it activated almost at the same time as the fireworks signal got activated with the Confederate award achievement being reached. So the seventh most damage done on an Atlanta globally, an annoying team killer reported to wargaming, a Kraken, Confederate achievement, High Caliber, Solo warrior award, the Arsonist's and the Devastating Strike achievements. They may not be able to say what the penalty was, but they CAN say that there was consequences applied. League of Legends has done this for years, if you report someone for misbehavior in chat or in game, they review the replay and if a penalty is applied they send a message back to you saying that someone that you reported recently has had a penalty applied.(League needs to stiffen the consequences, they are way too lax)

in LoL, you get a message that a player you've recently reported got penalized. They don't say what penalty (and if you reported multiple people, you can only guess which player it might be) but they at least say: "ye, we've looked into it and you're right"

Random english-as-a-second-language question: Isn't "sank" the correct form? (Which is probably why Jingles defaulted to that...) At least I learned that "sunk" is the past participle, so it's either an adjective or perfect tense (i.e. "I HAVE sunk your waifu.") - while sank is past tense. So without an auxiliary verb it should be "sank" - or am I wrong somewhere here?

Yeah, there were 4 M18 Hellcats that ambushed a German armored force comprised of Panzer V’s (Panthers). They used the hill as cover and they would peek over showing only the turret making them a small target. It worked great due to amazing gun depression.

Well, European Union's new super strict data protection laws came to be year and a half back, so I'm no sure about how those affect WG's behaviour in this matter. Sure it shouldn't affect NA servers (also, I don't know how the laws are in any NA country), but maybe they have adopted uniform policies for the sake of simplicity. Not really sure would telling about an online account's ban break those laws though. Either they're not taking any risks or it provides them a good excuse not to tell because they don't want to.

I feel compelled to point out that, while yes, Beatty's battlecruisers at Jutland didn't have the armor protection to really stand in the line of battle, the real reason two of them blew up was because they bypassed or outright removed safety measures between the guns and the magazines to increase rate of fire, allowing what would have otherwise been survivable hits to make them go boom. A third battlecruiser was saved from the same fate only by a quick command to flood the magazines.

No, WG NA is the entity in charge of the NA server, and it is a distinct entity from WG (a Russian company). WG NA has to follow US, and has zero responsibility to follow EU law. I was in a game where someone from the enemy team was reporting there location. In team chat we talked about what the guy was doing and after about 5 minutes of it, and some of us taking advantage of that info, realized the guy was going to be a prick the whole game so like 6 of us reported him and as a team the remaining 9, yes all 9 of us unanimously, decided to throw the game. We told the enemy team and all sailed directly at them and did not fire. It was kindof amazing. This was the only time I have had that happen and it was only a tier 6 game, but still was cool to see that most people still have some sport left.

5 " guns sinking Battleships, such a farce. Why I no longer play.

Historically Small/Mid Caliber Guns had proven useless against Battleships, only when one ignores Yellow River, Tsushima, Guadalcanal, Surigao Straight. If you fire a hundred exploding shells at a Battleship's non-vital/unarmored parts in a timely manner, then a great many of the Crew will be dead, the Steering Gear, Rudder, or Propellers potentially broken, The rangefinders/optics/radio masts will likely all be smashed, and the wooden decks, secondary ammunition or anything else flammable above the waterline will burn uncontrollably, and if that fire is near the air uptakes it will render the engine rooms uninhabitable, or if it's near the Barbettes, It could set off the magazines. Battleships are strong, but in an age of modern weapons armor alone isn't enough to allow one to waltz into a fortified anchorage like a fox in a hen-house the way the CSS Virginia did at Hampton Roads (1862), and if/when Battleships get into a close-quarters fight against opponents with a higher rate of fire and torpedoes, It cannot be expected to go their way.

@@bskorupk Battleships are worthless in-game because their accuracy has been nerfed into the ground, getting a full broadside off at close range shouldn't be the impossible feat it is in WOWS. See HMS Warspite for further info on why they shouldn't be missing at close range. All a Battleship can do is get hit & hope to RNGesus for a citadel.

@@KamikazKid , which line are you playing? To be fair, German BBs are not that accurate beyond secondary range and do tend to scatter pretty good. IJN and USN BBs do have decent accuracy at range. I haven't played any BBs in the RN line yet. That being said, RNGesus can say no, no matter how close you are and you do occasionally hit a bad RGN run where you can hit anything. My luck with shot runs the entire gambit. On the rare occasion I miss perfectly aimed shots at less than 2km. Other times I can get a citadel or two blind firing a cruiser in a smokescreen. RNGesus giveth and RNGesus taketh away.

@@KamikazKid The main thing that annoys me with Battleships is that Basics of Survivability is a Tier 3 skill and not a Tier 1 skill, as for Accuracy long-range misses tend to force enemies of all types to scatter like ants, and although not nearly as accurate as cruisers, Battleships can be made to work properly if one keeps in mind the slightly absurd and esoteric "Age of Empires Logic" ballistics, in that if one either doesn't "target" (with the little symbol), or simply changes target after firing, the shots will artificially disperse to a greater degree than if the enemy ship is targeted for the entirety of the process, furthermore, it's harder to adjust for the fall of shot because badly aimed shots will artificially disperse more than properly aimed ones. BB's are not "useless in-game" by any stretch, but require a great deal of skill to use, unless one is trying to rush in with secondaries like an ironclad, which only works properly when done en-masse in low-mid tier battleships.

@@dennisuerling899 Well I'm talking all lines, you shouldn't be missing half your BB shots at 5 km, American Civil War cannons being aimed by line of sight could hit at that distance, but a Battleship with a lead computing gun sight misses half to 3/4 of its shots. That's some great historical accuracy there. I think there should be two accuracy tables for one for line of sight distance, and one for long range RNGesus due to gun dispersion.

This is what I LOVE about Ubisoft's public shaming system in Rainbow 6 siege. It shows people that things are happening when you literally have messages showing up ingame for EVERYONE playing when a player gets banned. It changes perception massively and lets people know that reporting people actually works.

The defunct LOTR MMO would sound a crack of thunder every time someone was perma-banned, usually for gold sales. You can't name them, but you can present stats of how many were banned, how many suspended, how many under investigation, how many closed. "Justice must not only be done, but seem to be done!"

Fun fact: It's sometimes better to give people your broadside than nose in in the Atlanta because your bow/stern plating is actually THINNER than that of equivalent tier DDs. This means that AP shells of 203mm and above can and will overmatch your nose/stern and continue on to penetrate your still thinly-armored citadel bulkheads for massive damage. Whereas if you're lucky, they might overestimate your speed and miss your citadel entirely if you're broadside on,resulting in relatively minor overpen damage.

In addition to the Atlanta going to the bottom at about noon, it's sister ship the Juneau, went to the bottom about 12 hours later due to taking it's 2nd torpedo of the day in approximetly about the same place as the 1st torpedo hit.

This is why I miss Guild Wars 1. When a player got banned, the literal god of death appeared in the public hubs and killed your character in front of everyone when you got banned. Pretty good deterrent

I love your contribution to this and other games, you are one of the most "respected" among the WG contributers and they should listen to you more. As you said this is the internet! How can WG prevent players not getting into battles against, some times, 25 or more enemies. I've experienced this situation, getting into matchs, tier 8, 9 or even 10 with players that should be playing hello kitty island instead of World of Warships. WG should "rethink" its MM base on the experience of players, but no, russian devs are always trolling us or there math is different then ours. Other thing is that they have premium ships for all thats the worst, money talks higher. To finish in style, cheaters continue to play, alot, and WG still doing nothing. Shame! Continue the good work Jingles!

I would just like to say I finally did it. I have been watching your videos Jingles for about 2 years now, and even though I am a poor public servant and never have any money because my kids get it all, I have finally started playing world of warships on my kids playstation. I was hoping that my education at your fount of knowledge would make me invincible from the start, but it took me a few games just to get basic seamanship down. I have not been brave enough yet to venture out past AI yet, I don't want to be laughed at yet. I had hopes of sending you my first replay but I doubt it will be good enough. I have managed to kill two bots in one game, which caused me to jump up on top of the grog keg and drop trou,. Hopefully in a year or two I can have one of my replays on.
