@@shinkicker404 Based on the XP earned he did a fair chunk of damage too, a thing to remember, the British have the most durable planes of the tech tree CVs and Implacable's planes even have more HP than the German/Japanese/American T10s if just has fewer of them, and this Implacable was going after lone targets T9/10 AA is only really scary when overlapped. Of all the T8 CVs in game Implacable is the best for facing a full bottom tier, and is also even better at a max top tier. That's not to say it can play stupid, if it throws away it's planes it will likely not get them all back before the end of the battle, the British have the longest plane replenishment time close to 2 minutes for a single "dive" bomber, and as mentioned the smallest reserves as well. I'm going to guess based on his place on the team that he likely got between 80k-100k damage dealt. As from what I remember spotting damage actually doesn't pay you anything, just getting spotting ribbons.

@@Cloudman572 Having played CVs from 8-10 its actually not as simple as that for a tier 8 CV in a tier 10 match. Alot of it for CV positioning involves being able to predict how/when flanks fall and how to get your planes up faster, which takes practice more than anything. As for 0 Risk yes to themselves however considering how deadly tier 10 AA suites are its very easy to deplane yourself ESP when most of these AA cruisers have Air spotting close to or exactly at their AA gun range. The CV AA thing only applies at tier 8-10 and even then its mostly dependent on your ability to both handle fighter management (Fighters only kill up to the total fighters in the squadron, IE 3 fighters = 3 plane shoot downs max) as well as predicting where you are going to be struck from/controlling your high passive DPS AA. and even then your not always safe IE Haku can stealth torp you at tier 10, midway has shitloads of plane HP. its DEF harder to keep it up and you will have quite the losses but CV sniping isnt really optimal anyway since that CV can be more controlled by what allies you kill (IE he's going to have a hard time if you can keep your AA ships alive)

how i hate being in my mino when there is a battle ship spotting two battleships pushing i instantly smoke up with a big smile knowing all the battleship has to do is go bow in and tank... then the battle ship counts and sees his out numbered turns around takes two broad side volley's and either dies or runs for the hils. Now that smile of mine is on the two pushing captains because at this time when i run i will be spotted.

The crazy dispersion from that yamato's turret is actually the secondary triple-gun-turret mounted behind the two main battery gun turrets. Its still 3 shots from one turret landing on different countries, but only secondaries at least :D

I play Minos. In the 30 seconds he had good shots on the Tash, he should have been EASILY able to land a dozen or more shots, doing 50%+ of it's HP. Which, even if it didn't kill it, would have SEVERELY crippled it's utility. Instead, he did.... 9% damage on a ship that didnt care one whit about that loss of HP. Shooting the Yamato was a BIG tactical mistake. Damage farming is exactly that - doing little use to wrack up your score.

Lexington took the decision to move through the mini map, before sending airplanes to do an attack, while totally focused on the plane attack, the autopilot was running while he was under fire, but since he is totally focused on the planned plane attack, ignored the alarms of the carrier detection new sign to the left of the screen and realize the mistake until it was too late.

yes but here is the thing that BB players rarely get, light cruisers is only affective if the battle ships are tanking on there own they are xtreamly vulnerable and in high tier games there are way to few BB's that support their cruisers ( mainly X ), i actualy enjoyed my neptune more than my mino (even thou my mino stats are way higher).

for some reason, I PREFER being uptiered in t8 CVs. I really like scouting in them and since im lowest tier, i'm not attacking as much, therefore, i am spotting for longer. I've had multiple games in HMS Implacable(that i have only had for a day and love to death) where i'm uptiered, yet i still do very well and am complimented(Heresy i say!) by my team for my spotting.

That may be the case or it may not be the case. It's the Internet, all Chiffre and nickname and shortcut and godknowswhat. In terms of ignorance, I would propose doublechecking any possible meanings of my nicknames before I use them. You seem to play on the NA server (found you by now, I thought a player search would cover all servers at once), in a probably english/spanish-only environment where indeed a multitude of similar nicknames exist. The Lexington was hiding behind the island, being close to the action to reduce the down time of fighters and increasing his DPS. The Chung mu approached so he tried to get out of there. Sadly he did so by showing himself to BBall in the minotaur. But he probably thought to rather take his chances against a cruisers gun than a destroyers torpedoes... if he didn't just panic and just missed that BBall is there.

The Lexington at 8:50 ish probably wasn't a deliberate decision. The carrier autopilot is soooo bad since the update that he probably told his cv to park behind an island at the back of the map, and the navigator decided it would instead do the exact opposite, and the player was so desperate to get more planes in the air that he didn't notice. Not saying it was the mark of a skilled player, but not as dumb as it may look either

The only way the Frederick could've won was by killing bball before he took B, then wait it out (because who expects a CV that close to a German BB?)

The idea is that you let the enemy ship enter the cap and start taking it, then rain down fire and farm defended ribbons for more XP (especially in co-op). Lather, rinse, repeat till enemy ships are dead, _then_ take the cap for yourself. However, some people seem to be too stupid to shoot when it is required.

At the beginning of the game, capping is EXTREMELY dangerous, due to everyone rushing towards the caps, and everyone being full-health. There's 3 or 4 ships around to shoot at you when you cap. So don't cap right away. let the other poor schmuck cap, and just spot him. That either kills or cripples him, then you can cap after a minute or so, when the enemy ships are now all island hugging or out of position to shoot at you as you cap.

I spent a whole game in my Kiev wildly spotting torps, distracting most of the enemy team on that side and chasing away dds while the enemies were deleted by the rest of our team. One of them told me that I was doing a great job, but I ended up 5th on the leader board.

S, you'd chose to shoot a ship that's not an immediate threat, and one which you can't really harm, over a ship which you can either kill or cripple, and doing so removes a key *irreplaceable* player from the other side. Boy, I hope I get to play against you regularly.

Minotaur shots as soon as 10k arrives, take about 60 years to arrive, and i find that shooting at a russian dd when its that speed, is a bit of waste. If he had been closer, yeah sure, but in addition to this the way the shots disperse, as well as the, lets be generous, questionable penetration characteristics, make russian dds a pain in the ass for minotaurs

On a Tashkent? Mino's shells pen JUST fine from practically all directions, particularly at that range, where everything plunges and avoids most of the hull bounces because it's coming down through the deck. It's only a Khab that's a problem. And the Tash was GROUNDED, and not moving very fast for 15+ seconds. Any even moderately decent player should easily have been able to land a dozen or more shots on that DD. I play Minos all the time, and that's an EASY choice to make. Instead, he farmed completely useless damage on a Yamato.
