lets be honest here .. even with the concealment mod Yamato can be seen from outer space . .so why not use the Detection mod to get a earlier view of the torps heading your way . cause it takes an age to turn a Yamato . What are the Choices ? I don't have a Yamato yet . .

@@greasemonkey6362 Ask yourself this. Why do all the high win rate players and experienced players that get the best results. Not use the assured detection module? Concealment is king. A full concealment build Yamato is around 14km. That's not awful for a BB, especially one as big as Yamato. The assured detection module does not give enough of a bonus to avoid a torp spread. Yamato is too slow, too sluggish to make use of the tiny bonus you get. It has so few real uses. About the most likely is charging smoke so you spot automatically at 3km rather than 2km. Hint, if you're charging smoke in a BB, you are doing it wrong. It's the choice for idiots. If you built a full build based on trying to avoid torps, took the module and the captain skill. Put on the increased rudder and still it would rarely make a difference. Battleship players avoid torpedoes through experience, using the map. Knowing the capabilities of the ships they face. Being a bit unpredictable, changing course and speed. Turning bow in to likely threat angles and protecting their sides. Hoping to get enough warning through skills and modules just does not compensate for that, nor works as well. Concealment works all the time. It's useful all the time, other than when you re spotted. The Yamato is a mid/long range focused ship. That it where it is strong. Play it like that and for the first half of the game you should be able to fire and then go dark. Even German battleships with hydro active, barely get the time to react to torpedoes and generally so only if they are already at a good speed and presenting a narrow profile already.

thegeneral123 It also helps to be aggressive as well, as it’s good for seeing around mountains and land and you can also rush a dd, given you can turn to dodge torpedoes (or atleast minimise how many actually hit) which can help between life and death

Actually Jingles I watched a ton of westerns with my grandfather. (I'm 26) My favorite John Wayne movie is McLintock and my favorite Clint Eastwood movie is Two Mules for Sister Sara. My favorite western show is Cheyenne with Clint Walker. I recommend all of these if you havent seen them. That stuff still happens to me though. Hahahaha. Im still new to the game though and learn a lot watching your videos. Thanks for posting, you're improving player quality as I've received a lot of commendations thus far and I make sure I give you credit where its due.

Nice game to highlight Jingles! We all tend to complain about the MM in games like this... we all do it (including me): "waaaa I'm a T8 in a T10 game...AGAIN". But really we just need to take it as a challenge and think about how you can be of benefit to the team, and as mentioned herein, think about how you have to position yourself against the radar CA's. Learning 'Situational Awareness' is a huge skill for this game, and those players that have it can still have a meaningful impact on any game no matter the tier difference or ship type.

Staying in that cap at the beginning on that map in a British DD is not as hard a choice to make as one might think - you have excellent maneuverability in tight quarters and a seemingly infinite duration hydro. The Z-23 came crashing in through the way out but since there was a friendly Harugumo there it wasn’t a big deal. There are plenty of islands where one can park a destroyer to wait out radar.

Not realizing that the battle is about to end... I've been there more than once, last time in a somewhat similar situation with my Lo Yang in tier X, got 4 kills, 3 caps and about 150K damage but nowhere near as much base XP as this guy got, so I guess it wasn't actually as intense as it felt at the time.

and that is how you should play the Lightning, which is probably my absolute favorite destroyer in the game (jutland is nice too, butsince you NEED IFHE with her, you lack either concealment expert or RPF). Good guns, decent reload, great concealment, nearly imune to being torped and the single torp launch gives you such a nasty potential to yolo BBs. One of the few ships i never worry in no matter being uptiered (btw. great job fixing the MM Wg- not!)

At the last part, there is no difference if he was to cap the last flag or not. He's been radio located. I am not sure which ship that has it but they sure as hell know where he is headed. cap the flag will help slow down the process but it doesn't made a difference.

And our Mighty Jingles just haven't seen, that the enemy team new the whole time in the end where Melano was as one of those cruisers had RPF and was locating him the whole time. Perhaps even both have, but due to the constellation before the Minotaur died I would say the Zao had RPF and that he was on an intercept course. Either the video was made before or the new glasses haven't the estimated success. :D

I never ever get tier 10 matches this close anymore. One team always ends up mostly dead with no caps while allowing the other team to have them all including the one that started off as a green cap and the game ends in a complete ROFLSTOMP.

My very good friend, who happens to have a PhD and is one of the smartest people I know plays this game as well. If you saw him play you'd call him a window licker, a glue sniffer, etc. He's the type of guy who rushes BBs in his light cruisers, trying to torp them, fires HE in his BBs all the time, uses his radar when there's no reason to, accidentally missclicks consumable buttons, fires his torps from behind his teammates, you know, all sorts of dumb stuff. His win ratio is under 47%. But, he just doesn't care. To him it's just about having a few lols after a hard day's work. Just because people play poorly, doesn't mean they're stupid. It just means they're bad players.

Nice to see a game where a tier 8 takes the carry for the team and wins, while keeping hes coolness, but sadly there is too few off these games lately... Too many players forget to look at the timer and points... or simply choose to ignore it, because 1 more kill is more importent.... witch offen ends in loosing instead of winning. That is what WoWs has come too over the last 18month or more.... People don't give a shit about teamwork in most games!

@The Mighty Jingles I'm wondering what is your view on a question I have raised in the EU WoWS-forums, I'd be happy about an answer to the following concern: I don't know about the view onto Admiral Lütjens from outside of Germany and how the Russians think about it. here in Germany Lütjens seems to be way more of a loyal believing Nazi than the actual captain of the Bismarck, Ernst Lindemann and the Captain of the Graf Spee, Hans Langsdorff. As far as I know Langsdorff and Lindemann did not forget or pushed aside their humanity, especially Langsdorff. Yes, Lütjens is likely to be the most famous KM Admiral where the other two even are "only" in the rank of a captain, but for the sake of a political statement against nazism I'd prefer to see one one of the other two. I know, politics is a difficult topic to discuss about but I feel like this is better not to be omitted. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to get access to a historical German Commander, but the above said concerns me a bit. Please give it a thumbs up to bring it to more and hopefully Jingles' attention.

There need be no concern. I know that Lindemann did not like the Nazis particularly much due to the exclusion of Jewish officers he likes, Lutjens iirc didn't much care. But little known trivia is that Lutjens is actually 1/4 Jewish. If you look it up, turns out one of his grandparents was Jewish, nobody at the time knew and I don't think Lutjens even knew really, but it's something to consider. Although having said that, I would still have preferred Lindemann in game. He was much better liked by the crew of the Bismarck than Lutjens, he was confirmed to not be a nazi and he was also arguably a better captain. With hindsight, you can see several fuckups that Lutjens made. He was a complete downer and believed himself and his ship to be condemned before he even left port, and this pessimism almost doubtless got him killed.

IMO it made no sense to start shooting the Alaska when he did. He was radared before, so shooting then would have made sense, maybe even could ve saved the harugomo. Instead he started shooting after just being undetected again..
