I wrote Customer Service and they confirmed: "[...] Enterprise is not available for direct purchase now, but may appear in the Armory in the future. Also, the ship can drop from Supercontainer, for example.[...]" So in essence: We want you to buy a product that you may or may not ever be able to use, and should it be possible then we would like more money from you, please. Lovely.

Honestly, the skin should have been added to both the Yorktown and Hornet as well since they are from same family as Enterprise (all are Yorktown class). Not to mention the fact that the Hornet is available on 4th of July conteiners, meaning a lot of people have gotten it or might spend money for it.

It absolutely makes zero sense that the focus of this collaboration between wargaming and Star Trek The next generation with centered around the USS Enterprise-D, but if you didn't have foresight years ago to get it when it was available, you are SOL??? Agreed. Spock is okay, I personally could have done a better job on Picard and the Klingon. Also, Gowron is a weird choice, always felt he sounded like a spider in the show. Worf would have been better.

A " pretty solid event " ?! Sorry but its quite the opposite. A camo for a ship that isnt available any longer and which cant be achieved with this event. The voice overs arent even close to the original, with Gowron being the worst in my opinion. Also in Warships Legends, the certain ships have different values, names ( like the Fiji being called I.K.S. Bortas and having 30mm armor ) and the Captains have certain specialized perks.

I got Enterprise in a Santa container last year, so it's not that it never gets released, just that it's a ship that WG likes to roll out every now and then when they need to get people to cough up some money. I do remember all the videos when it first came out (before I became a player), and yeah, it was incredibly powerful for a carrier. What WG did with it is also why I have mixed feelings whenever they announce they're going to release a legendary ship. On one hand, I might want it because of it's historical importance, on the other, it's almost a certainty to be either a) under powered and a disappointment; or b) rapidly nerfed because of the complaints that it's overpowered.

To me, the worst offender isn't Picard (no way they could get Patrick Stuart), the worst offender to me by far is "Gowron"....J F C what the _HELL_ is that voice over? I feel like i need to fill my ears with bleach. And none of the commanders are using trek terminology as they should, which is another offense. But then, Paramount, a company rendered almost worthless because of Alex Klutzman, probably doesn't care about that sort of thing, since they stopped caring about trek the moment they let STD become a reality.

It's really funny to me that Spok has all the character and charisma, with unique lines but Picard sounds like AI. When he was one of the most charismatic and best captains in the entire series with fantastic lines and adventures. I believe he even did 17'th century naval warfare in the holo deck. That pretty much instantly made me lose interest in the event and leave the armory. But yeah I agree, cool bridge, crates, the whole art theme is spot on.

im 1 year in on WoW. just a bit under 140 hrs of play so far...my highest tier ship currently is the N. Carolina Tier 8. Have not leveled up any other faction...it would take years to level everything up. which is nuts

Highest is N.C. after 140 hours? Are you only doing coop battles? Eventually, you need to dip your toes into Random battles or Operations. Both give much better XP and credits than Coop battles. Premium makes everything faster. The more premium time you get, the lower the price per day. And join a clan, if you haven't already done so. A clan's Naval Base structures can boost your post-battle rewards. Not as much as premium, but every little bit helps, right?

The reason why the event failed. 1) They didn’t resell Enterprise to go along with the skin for some reason. I mean they can gain double money if they did it. 2) The Skins are not 1:1 show accurate. Yes, this is for the sake of the hit boxes but still. This is horrible. They should’ve gone 1:1 show accurate Enterprise despite messing up the visual hit boxes. It’s already Pay to Win anyways. 3) The voices are horrible. Overall.

If i want to play a Star Trek game, i'll do that, or atleast mod an unrelated game to get that feel. This is just wedging things that have cack all to do with each other together. A substantial but unknown slice of the player base is retirement age. The clues pop up in chat, use of slang, etc. It might be 25%. The game seems designed for older people ie success doesn't depend on reflexes. One thing is certain: kids don't play WoWS.

Spock is the closest, but the rest sound nothing like them. I don't get how you think that sounds like Denise. Even if it is her, they must've had her record it on a flip phone or something, because I've seen literally everything she's ever done, and not even close to her normal sound. You can hear her actual good VO work in Star Trek Online. Spock is close, like I said, but the voice actor doesn't have the depth, leaving the VO sounding narrow or pinched compared to Leonard Nimoy. Listen to the 'go to hell' voice line at the end of Star Trek 6 for comparison. There's also a gruffness of an older voice that's missing. Having met Robert O'Reilly many times (I used to con quite a bit), I find it hard to believe that they couldn't have gotten him. IMO, just pay the original actors a VO fee and use existing lines and AI to fill in.

This event attracted me to the game so I launched it and I quite like it. I’m interesting in getting the ships but honestly it’s all rather confusing to understand what you get immediately. Feels like you don’t get any before being able to apply the skins and so no enterprise D even if it’s n the bundle? So confusing for new comers :(

Yea the event is just cosmetic skins for the ships, and sadly the Enterprise isn’t currently available, so if you do buy the camo, you cannot get Enterprise at the moment

I swear, who thought it a smart idea to make this entire event centered around skins, but not include a method to earn or even buy the ships they go to in the first place?! I mean Enterprise has been gone in effect 5 years. It’s probably one of, if not the, rarest ships in the game, and yet they still gate keep what is probably now only an upper-mid tier CV, which only like 15-20% of the games population actually play? And I know the other 3 are Tech Tree ships, but they could’ve swapped some of them out for premiums versions, like swap out Gneisenau for Scharnhorst (which is honestly better). Hell, they could’ve even done what they did with the ARP, Azur Lane & Warhammer ships, and make them unique-camoed copy-pasted versions of the ships their based on, and it still would’ve been better than this.

WG had to spend a ton of money on this, between the license, port, crate animations, and the art assets. Without the CV being available for the skin, it does not really work for me. I love Star Trek since TOS, but not dropping cash on WG for something I basically can't use.

Funnily enough the console version got a better version of this event. You can get the Enterprise right now. Just buy it out right or grind it out.

Thanks for the review. Haven't played WOWS in months but play STO daily. If the crossover was better maybe I would have logged in but with fake voice overs it's clearly not worth it. I was never a CV main but I did have Enterprise too. Take care.

Man, I have had a hard time getting into STO, haven’t played it in 2 years. Has it had any big updates? Love ST universe, really want to get a good ST game. For me STO was fun when you start a career, then got repetitive. I may not understand the game fully.

For me, the skins and such check enough boxes for me, like with the little Federation fighters, to say they've done their research (Another Art Dept. W), but I just didn't feel like any of it was worth the money. As with most crossovers. I just couldn't justify paying for any of it, no matter how big a trekkie I am. And I've flushed close to $1000 into Star Trek Online over the years. Also, I doubt they got any of the original actors (aside from Ms. Crosby and yes I know Leonard Nimoy has long since passed away, bless his soul) for the Commander VOs, so that was another big thumbs down from me. ALSO, on Console, the I.K.S. Bor'tas and the D'Kyr skins are fully fledged ships on WoWS:Legends as well as the Enterprise (the actual ship, not the event skin) currently being available in a battlepass right now. So yeah, fun times (:

There's a lot of us in our 50s & 60s and dayum! I want the Enterprise! 😊 Also, Romulan should be French, Klingons should be German, and Vulcans should be Brits.

I think Roddenberry had real life analogues that inspired each alien race, if I remember right Klingons had Japanese elements. Cardassians were inspired by Germans, Romulans obviously from Rome.

3:32 I can actually understand why the captain is on weapons. The player in game is an Admiral, on an Admiral's ship in Star Trek it's not unheard of for a Captain rank to man stations. Edit 5:20 It actually sounds like possible Star Trek Online outtakes/unused lines being used for Spock, though I can't be sure.
