Update: It has been clarified that the 3 Week CBs season with support consumables will NOT be part of KOTs qualification. Knowing this, I am more on board with the idea of support consumables being utilized in this way.

If they wanted to "shake up" Clan battles they'd actually do some effort in balancing their ships - everyone picks the exact same ships, cuz only a handful are meta that's the real problem. Stupid consumable gimmicks or adding circus monkeys to block your screen won't change that trend.

I disagree. You need ships for all modes and not just something a tiny minority does.Their main focus should always be balance in randoms.

That tiny minority is willing to spend the most money though - that's why all online games care about said minority, while rejecting what the majority of players want. Most players are either free to play, or spend money once in a while.

USS Texas. Increase range with flood ballast. But make the trade you get a big nerf on your torpedo protection when active? But loving the D-Day event. Might even pay for the premium battle pass to get that content if those camos are buried in there like the commonwealth camos were. As for the support consumables, i do thing WG is planning on making them standard in the future. Pinata and Clan battles is the beta testing.

Every clock is right at least one time a day. Just because they do something right every now and them does not make them a player friendly company. I will give them the benefit of doubt when they start giving me reason to do so.

I really Like the Camos here, especially the Jervis one where they added The Rope net on the Side of the ship. Afterwards I thought up a Fan-made Camo concept that would go great with D-Day Event: "Beachside Fortress" for Sharnhoarst/43". Beachside Fortress: The Ships deck would be Covered in dark Sand and patches of Grass along with Supply and Ammo Boxes. The Ships Twin 150mm turrets would visually be replaced with Small camo-netted Bunker Like fortifications with Twin Casements in it like the ones On Graf Zeppelin with the 20mm AA placed on top of them. The Super-structure would be partially covered in Camo Netting, along with the most Dual purpose guns surrounded by Sandbag Defenses. Along with some of the Rope Ladders on the Jervis alongside the hull for good measure.

Wonderful. wunderbar. I saw this battle pass in PTS and I had to check it twice if there Isn't any hidden catch. But doublons "cash back" in form of rewards in doubs totalling in cost of price of prem pass is welcome. Although those other rewards are not maybe at that level of common premium BP rewards. I guess it can also help those guys who don't want spend doublons to feel better. The Wisconsin in dockyard and even free for WW44 owners is another cool thing. But the D-Day event is completely new info and it sounds cool. Those historical camos, wow. WG was considered maybe greedy to separate camos and economic bonuses but longer term effects seems finally ok, maybe even better than expected. I was giving darn to camos 1y ago, but as you play and gain all or most of resources, then camos are really good addition to game making ships more vivid. Simply ready for another adventure in next patch. 👍 WG.

Currently testing D Day mode. I have to say it is quite difficult. Not to mentioned the insanity those torpedo boats reload Torps like it has DD guns. It hits hard and fast. It also bouncing around which is hard to hit. And their torps arming distance is literally like 0.1 km. Which means they can yolo torp battle ram you harder than Most subs. Not to mention they expected us to beat this mode with tier VII ships. Not only that it force you to only target allies ship, nice touch. IF ONLY THE ALLIES AA CAN SHOT DOWN AIRCRAFTS BECAUSE AAs literally doesn’t exist. Costal Gun is extremely punishing not only it literally more accurate than any players in WOWs but also does damage and fire. Even Tier VII BBs struggle to tank the famage because it does 1.2K per shot, cannot be evade and have a reload faster than British Subs main gun reload. Plus, here’s the funny part. You can’t use Soviet BBs or CLs to play on this mode. First mission is to take down the AA guns. And we done it. Then they ask us to destroy Coastal Gun, which cannot be spotted until you’re at it’s point blank range. AND COASTAL GUN HAVE 14KM RANGE WITH 100% ACCURACY. PLUS they expecting us to complete the mission with only 6 players. FUN Now they do gives us Buffs BUT YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK THESE BY COMPLETE THE MISSION. AND GUESS WHY THEY EXPECTING US WITH ONLY AA BOOST WHICH DOESN’T DO SHIT AND COMPLETE THE MISSION. Oh and you can’t use Subs or CVs. Yeah, you cant use CVs. I bet we will have easier time if they use CVs

I think to spice up the battles, they should give teams a total of points they can use any way they want, it allows t8-t10 and point cost is based on last week popularity. With a 100 pt total, a ship taken an average of 1-2 per battle would cost 50 points (max), while ships used in less than 0.5% of battles would cost 5 points. Because it will make less popular ships somewhat popular the following week, it would balance itself. Really cracked ships will keep their cost high because they're that good, but other ships will earn a place since you do need some filler.

I like the support consumables, but they should be used as a special mode in randoms or co-op, not in clan battles...

guess what, clan battle is where there's actually a team ( well most of the time ) , so Clan battle really the place to beta these support consumable , even in the current pinata , the support consumable are not really used much as support at all , so really it made a lot of sense to put support consumable there are there any form of a TEAM at all today in Random and Co-Op ..

Trade in event is always good. I trade things like the F. Sherman for lower tier doubloons ships. Then get F. Sherman back for free, and repeat. I will make sure to have the coal saved up to do this at least once. Maybe twice if I start now. Why F. Sherman? It is the cheapest tier 10 coal ship I can think of off hand. The big question is what will the trade in value be, and will it be enough.

I've never played Clan Battles or Team Battles before that. I find KOTS to be boring and not worth the time to watch. So anything that happens in those realms are really a non issue for me.

I think WG consideres clan battle players to be slightly more advanced and therefore more relevant group to test the features on, it does not make much sense to test it on someone who opens the game after a year break in random etc. Just like my negative comments on sub changes, don't take me wrong, but it makes little sense to listen to bad players for something "not working as it should", listen to those, who know how it works very well.

Ok, am I one of the very few who doesn't care that they added this to clan battles? If some clan that makes it nearly every year gets knocked off because some other clan was better at adapting tactics and strategy? Oh no! Team Seal Clubbing Inc. was bounced because their yearly dance tactics were screwed by a minefield. You want viewers to see things they have never seen before. Clutch moments and counters. Final point, it's a very short time frame. Everyone will forget about it by this time next year or even sooner. Now the D-Day events look amazing. I also like that it's only historical ships. More historic events would be perfect.

still find it disgusting to call it the d-day anniversary. being a day to remember is one thing but to call it a anniversary just comes off in a bad way. i'll agree with others in the comments this is not how to improve clan battles

I stay borderline disgusted with myself by using the horrific experience of warfare as my chosen entertainment. I was in the Army in peacetime and continue to be thankful that none of the ordinance I trained with was ever pointed at me in actual battles. I think the naval history and artwork is the real draw, but I do enjoy the arcade style and hope it NEVER gets more realistic..
