back when this song came out, karl was making the video by himself. i remember him talking abo ut the effects he was trying to use hehe. also he often did most of the instruments and vocals himself, recording and dubbing over and over. to me, that was part of his genius...all karl all the time :) pretty sure there are no backup singers on this, notice he even shows himself in multiple singing the parts on this version. i still have the old funky version of this video he uploaded for fans thru his website way back then, tho i thought it had some footage/effects that didn't work out so great that this is missing. if there's a version with a female on it rapping, wow i need to find that, doesn't sound good but love to hear it :) either way, his music is so uplifting, love it
