Glad to have found this footage. Since KW passed, have been deep diving into his concerts, radio gigs, and interviews. This one is particularly hard-hitting with incredible energy. RIP, Sir. You tragically left this Big Blue Ball far too soon. 😢

Same situation with me. After I heard about Karl passing, I've been listening to his music and learning so much more than I did initially...and I was a pretty big fan since discovering them when "Bang!" came out anyway. "Sooner or Later" has become my new favorite song since re-listening to everything.

I'm so glad I'm not alone here. His passing ripped my heart out and I've been searching for footage I hadn't seen yet. I was CRANKING World Party in a parking lot after getting dinner last night and some guy motioned to me. I was thinking someone wanted me to turn it down. When I did he said "NO! LOUDER PLEASE!". Made my night.

Karl was my musical hero for over 35 years. I met him in 2014 and got tongue-tied like a fanboy. He was a sweetheart in person. Beyond sad

Karl was the antithesis of someone famous. He returned my messages and we started a conversation online. I found out firsthand how truly beautiful he was and will always be in my heart.

Sad to hear Karl passed away. He was a great musician out of the commercial mayhem. A true artist.

A hidden gem someone found on a tape hidden at the back of the cupboard. Saw them supporting Steely Dan in the Hunter Valley Australia We World Party People salute you.!
@hklinker Жыл бұрын
I was there that day in the Hunter Valley, and remember talking to people there who said they were there mainly to see World party. I went to Australia to see all the Steely Dan shows on that tour and the great unknown bonus was seeing World Party open every show. I didn’t really know World Party at the time, not outside of Way Down Now, anyway.

Karl minds me, of that great American lost Soul- Rodrigues. A very similar natural beauty, lacking ego. Both infinitely bigger than their appreciation...

It is never a good idea to speak badly about the deceased, but he was a rather wicked left-wing radical John Lennon-ish type of Libra with glasses😊😊

Bloody magnificent, so familiar with the soundtrack but never ever seen the vision... Miraculous to be able to witness how well they truly cooked before such bad luck befell Karl with the aneurysm. Many many thanks for the up.

What wonderful music. So great to see it here! Unfortunately grotesquely wrongly announced by the German presenter. He announces Karl Wallinger as former guitarist, singer and head of the Waterboys…😮 he played keyboards in Mike Scott‘s band.
