It’s bad ass no matter what the keyboard warriors say. Coming from a GEN2 owner this makes me glad I bought a GEN2.
@katkilr76856 ай бұрын
Well I am not a keyboard warrior. And I am telling you there is no way on God's green earth that the car has a stock. motor. 3550lbs - 1432.10hp = 7.9 1/4 mile. NO WAY in hell. Yes a sleeved stock Block will but not a stock motor. I am pushing 973whp out of my '17 Mustang GT. And that is pushing the bottom end and I got MMR oil/crank gears.

Very impressive I do have a couple of questions. What tire are you using and what size. How do those carbon doors do for regular driving (movement/noise) and are they stable at 178 mph And lastly about what horsepower do you think you're running?
@Crodgers14072 жыл бұрын
Mickey Thompson street r radial 17” , carbon doors are fine regular driving. Not noisey once you fill them and out a door panel on , they seem stable so far And I’d say on the high boost setting the car makes probably 1200 or so
@Zman0 Жыл бұрын
if you upgraded rods and pistons, it's no longer stock block. Stock block means nothing done to it. I'm saying this so that someone doesn't blow up their engine thinking they can get away with it. You have somewhat of upgraded internals because there's no way a stock block can hold that much power. And well start saving for a new engine if it's really still stock with no internal upgrades. With that said great accomplishment, this is very impressive. Are you rebuilding your 6r80 every season?
@Crodgers1407 Жыл бұрын
I do not have upgraded pistons or rods. Like I stated the engine is unopened and the block and internals are untouched. So yes. It did hold that much power. Thanks for the advice I have not rebuilt the 6r80 yet after the season. Still seems fine
@Cobyontherun2 жыл бұрын
Congrats man! This may be a stupid question, but why is the 1/8 mile time not getting any faster as the 1/4 mile drops?
@Crodgers14072 жыл бұрын
The 1/8th has been dropping steadily since I have started. I am down in the 5.1 range and the mph is 137 now The almost 40mph back half helps drop the 1/4 et as well. But most of your 1/4 times are made in the first 660’. For example I just went 5.1 at 137 and let off and still went 8.8 at 100mph The 60’ 330’ and 1/8th really makes up the 1/4 mile time with the help of how much mph (boost) from the 1/8 to 1/4

Awesome work and killer time but how is it a stock transmission when it's built...
@Crodgers14072 жыл бұрын
It is the transmission that came in the car. The term “stock” is very opinion based. Your definition of it is different then others. The coyote platform has many transmissions in use such as th400 power glides. 3r200 4r200 10r80 etc. so this , to me , is the stock transmission for this car. Hope that helps
@ogreracing2 жыл бұрын
@@Crodgers1407 but then those that have rod and pistons in the motor would be considered stock ..built is built .. not taking anything away from the accomplishment cause running 7s with any level of 6r80 is impressive... but its not stock and I've never heard anyone call a built 6r80 a stock trans
@Crodgers14072 жыл бұрын
@@ogreracing then that would be a stock block engine but not a stock bottom end. Could a piston and rod engine still claim stock block? Yes. But they just can’t claim a completely stock bottom end. It’s all in the wording and opinion based that example just proves that even more. At the end of the day my transmission has replacement clutches to make it durable. It’s a 6 speed 6r80 just as it came in the car from the factory with some parts to make it last. And thank you for the compliment. No hard feelings at your question 🤘🏻
