This is fantastic! I lived in Tokyo for 6 years and miss all the quirks of living there. Everything is so proper. Sorry you had to wait so long to get through to air-side though. The Japanese would say JAL, not J-A-L (or more accurately 'Ja-lu') and bidet is pronounced be-day. I had no idea they were doing mobile phone ordering now, I haven't been back in 2-3 years or so. Love the vlogs!

Nice review. Did the entertainment system have the standard headphone jack? Friends recently went on regular economy JAL and they said you had to have the old-school two prong adapter to plug in your headphones.

Love the seat feature that the front seat does not recline into your tray space. Do you have to pay for the lounge access at Skyview with your premium economy tickets? if yes, how much. Thank you!

Lounge access is included in JAL premium economy tickets and you can use both the Sakura Lounge and the Sakura Lounge Skyview for free. However, lounge access is not included if you upgraded to premium economy at the check in counter.

Premium Economy doesn't feel any better than basic Economy at all. Food trays look so basic! the only benefit is the access to the launch with the premium Economy ticket.

It really pisses me off when they dim all the windows on a middle of the day flight! Fair enough if it's at night or when you need to adjust your body clock to a different time zone, but on a day flight the crew does it to encourage people to sleep which creates less work for themselves (I'm looking at you Qantas!) Other than that, great video :) I did JAL Premium Sydney-Tokyo return a few years ago and it was great. Food varies and I agree on the IFE, but the legroom is phenomenal.
