Love your videos guys! I’m so glad I found your channel. Looks like we are brothers and sisters in Christ, and share the love of the outdoors! Especially Northern Ontario. We also have an island up there on the north shore. Not quite as big as yours though and not as many buildings. I always tell everyone it’s our little slice of heaven here on earth. We’ve been living in Florida for the past 28 years, but it’s my goal to start spending the summers up there. We have an old cabin on the island that was built in 1948. It’s been very informative watching your videos to see how you guys do life there on the island. We will eventually be moving towards solar and propane on our island as well as we are off the grid and have been ever since we got the island in the early 80s. Keep making those memories! Hi, I had a ATV for years. Every winter I would shut my gas valve off and run the engine until it would run out of gas & the carburetor was dry. Yours is fuel injection, so you can run your gas down in the tank and leave only minimal gas in the tank over the summer while not in use, with a fuel stabilizer like STA-BIL fuel treatment run it through the system and it’s helps the gas from turning to lacquer for the summer. It’s helps keep your injectors from gumming up with fuel inside them for the winter. Just my 2 cents worth. 32:17

Lando is the bomb! I’ve been using Seafoam for years. I call it my liquor EFI or Carburetor mechanic. I try to put in my engines every 4th refuel. Look at the what the uses are. Diesel, gas engines. I also use it in the oil. I live in Texas near Houston. I live on the upper Trinity Bay. We are expecting 3-6” of snow. I know that’s a dusting for y’all. For use rookies on snow and ice. This will cripple traffic. Snow plows no. They will put out sand and salt or whatever it is now. The will only stay for maybe 3 days. So there’s that! Very seldom do we even have freezing temperatures for 24 hours. Love Your Channel! Keep on Truckin!😎🇺🇸

What big changes with the new vehicles. Glad you have more options now to enjoy winter at the cabin. Getting our dogs used to boots again with sub-zero temps and using Musher’s Secret balm. Works well if you have not tried it on Lando to protect paws. Loved the video ❤.

Now I know where all our snow went. Out here in Alberta we don't have much of it. at least where I live. Then again, I really like driving on dry roads vs snow packed. I've only been on a snowmobile once and sure would be fun to do it again.

Our Toller loves the snow but he also gets ice between the pads. Licking it makes things worse. Trimming the fur between the pads helps, but on one of our ski holidays we bought a brick Crisco shortening from the convenience store and it really helped. Since then, we discovered Musher's Secret. It's thicker so it lasts longer than Crisco, and it's good for his pads too.

Glad to see y'all acquired an airboat!. Couple of things to share. If your front deck does not have non skid... roll on paint and course sand in layers for an inexpensive solution. Also (hope the seller shared this)... when in open water and slowing off of plain/step make sure to watch stern wake which can come over transom and swamp/sink boat. Throttle up a bit to stay ahead of wake until it dissipates. Cheers from Louisiana.

So glad you found the fan boat. Must be a great relief to know you have means to safely traverse the ever changing terrain. And now that you have another snowmobile life on the lake will be a lot of fun. Good for you to talk safety. Communications with Midland Radios and Striker Brands flotation. Sea Foam is one of the best products that actually works. You should put it in the boat engines and run it before you put them away for the winter. I use it in my diesel pickup, motorhome, atv, lawnmower, well everything that has an engine 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Not only does it clean it dries out water and stabilizes the fuel too. Use it with Sta-bil as an extra measure. Make sure to add some to the gas cans you store on the island. In the winter I put the recommended amount in the tank every time I fill up. Can't wait to see the big Pike you pull out of the lake!

As new snowmobilers, establish your hand signals. Travel safe distances apart. We also use brake taps (series of 3 taps) as warnings for the ones following that you are stopping or slowing down.

Awesome video! I can’t imagine living somewhere with four seasons! I live in southeast Texas and we’re lucky if we actually have three!
