Have you heard of Drag Week? In 2014 Larry Larson ran a 6:16 in his street legal S10. This year Jeff Lutz did a 6:05 in his street legal 69' promod Camaro..At another event in 2014 Larry Larson hit 5:95 with his S10. Dont know when this video was done. but 7 second barrier was crushed in 2013 by Tom Bailey when he made it into the 6's with his 69' street legal Camaro..

Red Victor 3 did have the fastest time for a street car with his 6.4s blast, but none of the previous versions ever did. There was a bunch of caveat's for all of his previous cars, including this one. In 2005 there was several street legal cars in the 7.50's and if I recall correctly, the record was 7.44 that year for the outlaw street car races in which the cars had to be tag'd and street legal to qualify.

Street Legal in the USA means Larry Larson driving over 1000 miles in a week and running 6.15 on a TEST pass at Hot Rod Drag Week, and then running 5.95 a few weeks later. Or Tom Bailey in the Sick Seconds Camaro running a 6.50. Jeff Lutz in the Evil Twin 57 Chevy runs 65.80's all day long driving on the street. Joe Berry in hs ALL STEEL '57 Chevy running 6.90. Doug Cline in the ALL METAL '69 Camaro running 6.90's. So when you call this the fastest street legal car, I'd have to debate that.

Okay, after reading some of the comments, I see this video is acually a decade old. Okay, props to that. What everyone is missing is that this car has a 9.3 cube V8. The Brits don't have many V8s at their disposal. Is this an American V8? Is it german or Italian? Or is it a Range Rover or Rolls Royce V8? Funny how they left that part out. Just WHAT V8 is this? yellowbusguy The vehicle was made in the United Kingdom. It was converted to left hand drive to compensate for the engine torque, lifting the left side of the vehicle. Andys body weight, along with the extra rollcage stuff for the driver, all add to offsetting the torque. Plus the differential input is a couple of inches offset to the right. The driveline would have been made to line up the differential, eliminating steering column space on the right of the engine block.

Why would they write "fastest street car in the world"... down here in Australia we have more than enough street cars running under 10 sec 1/4 and we have two of the fastest cars (street legal) going 7.4 which is a Ford XR6 Turbo Ute and also a Nissan GT-R R33 going 7.1 in a 1/4 mile.. but still nice to see other street cars around the world break that 7 second mark!!
