The JCB Fastrac - with, er, some modifications - has been crowned the world's fastest tractor.
Its driver, former bike racer Guy Martin, took the Fastrac to a world record speed of 135.191mph, with a peak speed of 153.771mph, in 2019.

Once the air tanks are empty there is no GO. Rear air brake chambers use air to release the "parking brake" spring tension and uses more air on the other side of a diaphragm when u step on the brake to assist the spring in applying brakes..... if air pressure is lost then the spring becomes fully applied. No go after that

That's what I thought when I watched the tv show...what the hell defines a vehicle as a 'tractor' as clearly this can't do what a regular tractor does anymore...a Chiron can probably tow more than this (given this can barely get itself moving anymore) so perhaps the Chiron should be classed as the worlds fastest tractor...

Two comments : first I'm in love, second it must have been equipped with Centrifugal Supercharger to remove all the turbo lag, or at least be twin charged using the centrifugal supercharger at low rpm and relatively small twin turbos on high rpm. Otherwise, I really couldn't love it more.

7:59 bit of a correction, air brakes use pneumatic pressure to keep the spring loaded brakes off so a failure means the brakes come on. Running low on air would mean the brakes start to apply.

Not so sure this should be called a tractor. Not because of the 2wd, the silly low ride height or even teh lack of any useful bits onboard but more because it needs external help to start, external help to stop and ice to make its power while still managing to start cracking a diff. I wonder what qualifies as a tractor. Maybe a McLaren with a towbar would be a good match?

They got it wrong, when you run out of pressured air the brakes come on. That’s how air brakes work and why they are used on heavy vehicles such as tractors and trucks.
