The engineering and tech that is involved in keeping the tanks liveable for the sea life is mind blowing. I've seen the filtration setups for big waterparks and they're simple compared to what's in that basement.

How freshwater and tropical fish keepers look at reef tanks and go back to their stuff is beyond me!
@MasiPopalАй бұрын
My main reason for only doing freshwater is the blue lights on corals get too much. The huge glow plus all fish colors having a blue hue to them get too much overtime. Another reason is corals aren’t for everyone. They look good but I’d rather have rocks and drift wood. That’s how I look at reef tanks and then go back to enjoy a much calmer relaxing tank 😊

Katie, you need to start a saltwater tank. Start small like 20 gals or even 14 gals cube! =)

It seems like to me that the filtration area is unnecessarily large, even larger than the tank itself. I wonder if that is just because he wants to over filter the water, he needs it because of high stock levels, or if he is just buying more equipment because he likes to lol. Or maybe salt water is more complicated than I realize and this is a normal amount of equipment for salt water, I don't know anything about salt water.
