I was the crazy bastard that was desperately trying to finish Destop's Gamecube disc drive emulator but ultimately failed because I lacked the proper skills to bring the project from 95% complete to 100%. That thread ended up being one of the longest in the history of the entire forum, hahah. I was pretty active in the N64 section too. I spent the majority of my teenage years on that forum. While it may be just a memory now, it's nice to see the scene is still somewhat alive! Nice build! Too bad we didn't all have 3D printers back when the scene was kicking, yeah? Everyone always envied Triton's frankencase skills, AKA the Bondo king, and Marshalh was unmatched with his vacuum formed cases. Now there would be no reason to use anything but 3D printers!
