As a rock climber i have to say this is super impressive. Eddie is moving a ton of weight up the wall and isn’t built to high step holds. Even with climbing shoes I’m not sure how easy smearing is at his weight or even tiny toe holds. Really impressed that he crushed some routes and that he was willing to even try

Eddy giving it all on the blue route at 17:11 is so good to watch. Every move looks hard but still he continues and actually progresses. That for me would be the best climb of the week, edge of what you can do, barely managing but so fulfilling because of that every step of the way. Love that he got the experience that feeling in his very first sesh!

When I remember right, Magnus already did that with another Strongman with different kind of grips. He was good on some unusual grips that favour climbers but he had no chance when it comes to total weight not bodyweight exercises. I mean it is no wonder if you consider (this) Strongman grip 500kg barbells.

magnus would crush brian in that if magnus' hands are big enough, I'm not sure if they are. Hand size matters but if we cancel that factor magnus has way better endurance than Brian and should win quite comfortably.

Both these guys have some very impressive grip strength. It's no wonder why Eddie did so well. That being said Magnus' grip strength to body weight ratio is superhuman. Grip strength is crucial to this sport.
