I think if you were sitting in the audience live, it wouldn't look so good with the effects and tricks. You can clearly see how he pulls the sand bars out of his left arm. The falling, floating sand is probably edited for TV, so it won't look like that live in the audience. Please don't always believe this, especially at talent shows that are broadcast on TV. There have been so many fakes.
