I like your point about the historical nuggets. Though, I just don't get why people are so paranoid about depicting the swastika. Nobody should ever fear that symbol if it's used in it's proper historical context. If people erase things like that from history then what's to stop some future tyrant from using them?
@Hakudohshi

@@Natomon01 Because KZbin is run by Google, a corporation. Corporations are terrified of any public controversy and the potential to lose all of their customers over allowing a piece of media or a product that offends a certain group with their online or offline infrastructure. That and the fact that America is one of the most litigious nations on Earth, Corporations are well aware they can be dealt a death knell by a class action. It's why they lobby the American government so hard to allow them to use "independent" arbitrators to decide if someone has a legitimate complaint against their companies.

@xofcenter5576
@xofcenter5576 2 жыл бұрын
@@braydenfarrell1177 1-in-5 is much higher than other *in theater & battle-ready* forces. Number of tanks is irrelevant, only the number ready and in-theater. More than that, only the Wehrmacht had trained for rapid-mobility, joint-support warfare -- including necessary support, logistics and supply-lines. Everyone else used their tanks as WWI mobile artillery, assuming relatively static, slow-moving battle fronts. Not sure why you're having issues viewing the actual history in perspective. It doesn't grant any legitimacy to the German ideological cause. Ignoring the advantages they had at the time, however, does engender complacency.
@xofcenter5576
@xofcenter5576 2 жыл бұрын
@Caesar The American NA campaign was a lesson in humility for the US. I don't think the Americans outnumbered the Germans much at all during the most critical engagements. But the Americans did manage to commit just about every tactical blunder imaginable, not the least of which being totally unprepared logistically. Arguably, those defeats and near disaster (if not for the British reinforcements) were essential in turning around American war planning philosophy, which was still rooted in WWI mentality.
@xofcenter5576
@xofcenter5576 2 жыл бұрын
The point of the original comment is that Germany, despite being obviously incapable of waging a protracted war against either the West or Russia, let alone both at once, were capable of securing what were, at the time, unthinkably rapid victories. Had they been incompetent and unprepared in any significant way to wage such a war, then their series of blitzs would have resulted in what we are seeing today in Ukraine: a bogged down, failed blitz that shifts to a war of attrition. Blitz strategies, directly based upon doctrine developed by the Germans in WWII, are still practiced today. Especially the doctrine of rapid deployment joint support.

I could picture SCP-2367 as a good plot for an SCP-Episode; Nazi-Soldiers from the past arrive in the present, send there via SCP-2367, ready to re-take Germany. Then, a Containment Breach, caused by the Chaos Insurgency. Then, SCP-2430 "Immortal Hitler Clone" breaks containment and re-unites with his troops. That would be an interesting episode.

I like this narration but they missed one of the most important lines that describe an unknown scp and it goes like this. "Scp *redacted has a massive ass, I'm talking big ol' swangin' butt cheeks. Scp redacted has ass cheeks that resemble the cheeks of a greedy squirrel that has been stuffed to maximum capacity. Any more nut in that ass risks a full f.u.c.k class scenario. This will result in the full and total eruption of ass nut from the described badonkadonk of an ass that scp redacted has. If this happens there is no deterrent. It will not only break the internet, but the entirety of the multiverse. No methods of reversal have been discussed. This will end everything that was is or ever could be. If this were to happen not even god would help because he's too busy looking at that huge ass. Oh God help us please. Don't look at it...ohhh God noooooo!" I really wish they wouldn't remove important dialogue, it ruins the story.... Otherwise it's good video.

4:52 Fun Fact: This cannon was used to try to take down Britain from across the English Channel or something. However since it took a long time to move and arm and stuff, it just became a light in a dark room. It was an easy target for other forces. After this the V1 Flying Bomb was made and then the first suborbital Missile, the V2 Rocket, was made.

I'm working on my own SCP, It's called "Many Pringles Flavors", and It's supposed to be a package of Pringles tubes. I'll leave the article i'm working on here: SCP-XXXX or simply called "Many Pringles Flavors", is a box, containing 50 regular Kellogg's Pringles tubes. The chips inside of the tubes seem to take strange properties when chewed. If a subject chews one of the chips, the chip will get the flavor of the food that the subject thought about right before eating it. I still haven't uploaded this in the forum, since i still need to write the central narrative, but i wanted to see how the people here will say about this

Im working on my own too lol It's based on a running joke about our walk-in beer cooler at my work place, all of us forget what we were doing when we go in there. But the SCP twist is, is that when you forget you stay in there and eventually turn into an ice statue.

"Is always a delightful mental image," I feel the same over the all the cartoon style claims the little hats said the Germans used on them to put them to death. My favorite was the gun that would curl around through a hole in the wall and would shoot them. Cooky lil hats and their imaginations. So creative with their fairy tales.

The Germans weren't incompetent, outmatched by much more powerful enemies (Soviets and Americans) and were rapidly running out of resources, and it was also Hitler who caused many issues, but the Wehrmacht and the Waffen SS units were indiviudally much stronger, but often outnumbered and had had so many rounds

A note about the corporal who was a bear. You may think he was a great combatant but the truth is, he was actually an artillery munitions expert. You'd be surprised how heavy a lot of artillery shells can be, and also how light they would be if you were a half a ton of living muscle with enough force in a single swing to mortally wound a silverback gorilla
