@@youngghost2243 She was closing fast in the last 20-30 meters, but she is not the GOAT in the 200m. Florence Griffith-Joyner holds that title, and will likely never lose it, but Schippers is the 2nd best 200m sprinter of all-time at this point imo. Uibo is definitely one of the best ever in the 400m though.

The live shot of dafne running full speed is both violent amazing and explosive. She is an incredible athlete. She actually looks like she could tear a telephone book in half with her bare hands. Never seen such a combination of both strength and beauty in a human before.

And yes she does have special genes and lots of fast muscle fibers and exceptonal endurance (stamina), far more then other people. It wasn't closing speed, it was the ability to not slow down as much due to fatigue. Near the end of the 200 meter race, every single runner has slowed down and the winner is the one who slows down the least.

Check out vids of Irina Privolva. World class from 50m up to 400m hurdles (Olympic gold Medalist.) More recently and still running, Ivet Lalova-Collio. Before a 2 yr absence due to an almost career ending leg injury, she ran 10.77

But people do tend to talk about the recent and what's going to happen instead of saying " what if that legend of ten years ago was here?". Naser and Uibo are the future of 400 and Uibo with a bit more focus can give a crazy 200 m time as well.

The race starts at 6:00....the commentators are obnoxious at best. The titans of Jamaica and Team USA were not in this race, but great race for Dafne Schippers. She is a solid runner, along with Ta Lou. Great experience for the US collegiate runners.

Wow. Track n field sprints lures you in, as a fan, like no other sports event. You know? You tentatively want Schippers to win, and the gun goes off, and there are these women who run the 200 meters differently. Some start off well. Some finish well. Schippers had to start fast, hit a lull half way, get passed a bit, and then finish strong to win at the last seconds. This is PURE excitement. I don't think I've been watching enough track n field over the years. Anyway. I go to Amsterdam, twice a year, minus pandemic times. Maybe she'll be buying a space cake at Rookies, when I'm there.

Talking about long legs. Shaunae is even longer than Daffie but not heavier. Dafne is built more robust and therefor to heavy for short distance. Yet she menage to become worldchampion over the 60m. aswell. Impressive, with this huge disadvantage . She must be 1.5 times stronger than the 50 kg dwarfs.

Also injuries and motivation ( she must train her ass off to compete at the highest level, you all forget she is white) plays a role. But mark my words she wants to flame one more time in Tokio. She has won over 150 medals! But one is missing, well wrong colour. Stolen from her by b**ch from jamaica, just kidding. You know what i mean man.
