It would be a good idea to write these expressions down in russian ussian only so that we also get used to the letters.:)

In addition, transcriptions to latin alphabet trend to be ambiguous and unaccurate. I'd, personally, rather been reading the examples in cylliric alphabet, пожалуйста

@StrangerSpace10 жыл бұрын
Being russian-speaking, I can tell that the pronunciation transcription in this video sometimes a bit confusing.. For example: "I don't understand"- "ya nyeh pah-nyee-MAH-yoo". It seems the correct would be: "ya neh pa-ni-mA-yoo", taking that "h" is not pronounced at all. So, in the words like "neh" there shouldn't be any softening between n and e. I know, that it's hard to spell like that for e.g. english-speakers, but that's how we spell.

I think it would be very helpful if someone would put words ending with the same soft then hard consonant right next each other. i.e. л then ль, т then ть, etc. (with no explanation between them to divert the attention) so one could hear the difference. Or in the middle of words if words don't end with the consonant.

Hi! I have a question about the Russian pronunciation. Do you have to be very precise with the accent? I have a friend of Russian origin, who's teaching me the language. But every time he says a word in russian and I repeat it in (in my opinion) exactly the same way, he always tells me very firmly that what I say is completely incorrect. Is he just being too strict about it or is it true that russian words have to be spoken with a perfect accent to be understandable?
@NEnigma7776 жыл бұрын
Lena De Coninck is English your first language? More than likely your friend is correct and you aren’t pronouncing it right. The English language does not use some of the sounds/letters in Russian like ы

This is kinda crap... It doesn't show the actual words in Russian (romanized) and it doesn't show an actual person saying it, which you need to understand how to move your mouth with some of the words which is very hard to pick up with many eastern bloc languages.
