Super helpful tip. I watched other tutorials and I was not able to remove the ac line. After watching your step by step video, I removed the line effortlessly. You are a great teacher, thank you very much.

Thank you for showing me this. I have an Infiniti at work right now with these fittings and I had no idea that's what those plastic rings were for. The encouraging words you put in the video will be what I think about if I get frustrated this first time doing this. Thanks!

Thanks so much sir! Working for Lexus/Toyota, all our AC lines are flange fittings with bolts. This self locking style is strange, to me at least. Thanks for demonstrating how easy it is to remove!

The Haynes manual said I needed 'Ford Special Tool 412-069, but these will be perfect. Saved me a big headache, thanks, though I can only find 'your' set at £27 ($35). Bought a smaller ring-version for £4 now I know what I'm looking for.

I always wandered what those little white plastic things were near the AC and now I know. I learned something new today. It looks like Ford was thinking about the mechanic when they installed those near the firewall.

I have been working on cars 30 years and i had no idea those little pieces of plastic were actual tools left there by the manufacturer,lol,i always thought they were part of the original assembly and left there till they fell off,lol, learn something new every day. I actually have several sets of tools to pull these things apart,what makes me mad is that i have taken those little rings and broke them off and threw them away before,oops!!

If I had to replace the ac line, do I need to recharge it with the can? Because it doesn’t blow cold ac at all
@matthewhall95305 жыл бұрын
TheWiseGuy yes if any came out you’ll need to recharge it. The valve and cans of the stuff from a parts store usually aren’t that expensive
