Everybody is hating on this game, but nobody's realizing this wasn't meant for rich countries who could afford a real super nintendo and even then qritiqued some games. This was meant for less fortunate countries where a super nintendo and even sega mega drive was really expensive. Most of the kids playing this played it on a knockoff mega drive too.

I don't know why they'd remove Yoshi from the picture if this picture came from super mario allstars, I think originally it didn't have Yoshi. Then later versions of the picture had Yoshi the start of the game features a voiceclip of Mario from mario 64, which has Yoshi (although just to talk to) even this game has Yoshi writing a letter to mario, or it seems like it,because he's at Yoshi's mailbox at 0:27

It has good graphics and good sound (The problem is that they are not original sounds or compressions from the SNES game, but from other Genesis games). But the gameplay is clunky and the screen is poorly positioned.

It was probably in mono. The Genesis has a DAC channel for playing samples. All they have to do is stream the PCM sample of its a me mario over that channel.
