The Leviathan is definitely overall stronger as human being. John didn't really touch weights too much. But you got to give the hand and wrist advantage to John. Richard was just an animal and didn't even train for arm wrestling. He was exceptional and if he ever truly did truly train properly, it would have been awesome to see what he would become. He has great genetics. What we got was pretty awesome as well tho. They both beat each other through the years. Of course Rich outweighed John by 100 pounds. Legends.

You're either the best or not. No excuses about weight. This isn't about pound for pound. If it were maybe a woman might be the strongest or 100 pound boy had they weighed more. Lupkes only started losing to Brzenk after getting old. Same way Larratt couldn't beat Brzenk until he got old.

John is the 🐐 hands down but in terms of strength back in the 1980’s I give it to Richard. John got stronger as he got older. Dude has aged in Arm Wrestling like a fine wine 🍷 😂. I hear Richard is coming back at the age of 65 years old.

Richard is a giant but John beat him, also John did not train much harder and faced for lots of matches but Richard less which means Richard had less arm issues than John

I believe he would lose to sooooo many monsters of the ancient times. There were so many men back in the days much much stronger built than these cute modern armwrestlers, they were like animals, extremely genetically gifted.

It’s not even the training it’s more that Richard was lacking technically he doesn’t have any toproll or move besides cupping and driving side ways in a suedo hook which made him lose to technical arm wrestlers however I will not deny in terms of raw power and side pressure probably strongest ever or at least top 3

As far as I am concerned due to his average build/height, wrestling style and personality, John Brzenk is the GOAT. Hopefully, I will meet him someday and shake his hand.

Just put this in perspective: Old Lupkes gave prime Dennis hell. Imagine the dude in his prime. Overall Lupkes is a stronger human being. I have understood from someone saying in the comments he did not train for armwrestling. Imagine if he did.

I'd call it even between Rich & John in their primes. But Rich did have at least 40 pounds on John. So for John to hold his own against Rich is quite an achievement giving up 40 pounds.

Honestly, I liked it better when they were sitting across from each other instead of standing. It's gotten to the point where Todd, Laratte and Cyplenkov, among others, climb under the table when they wrestle. Who knows why they took away the tables and seats? Sry 4 my eng.
