Thanks for posting this. I wouldn't have thought to go to my parental profile to get the tablet to recognize a micro sd. This kids tablet has its quirks that I'm not used to dealing with.

I’m struggling to make the sd card the primary saving location for the tablet, I’ve done the formatting etc it’s showing in the fire storage menu but also showing low memory 🤔

Hi this is great 👍🏽 I got one of these for my daughter I have followed all the directions you mentioned above and when she goes back into the kids profile and tries to down load a game it says there’s not enough memory !? I have just installed a 64gb memory card how is there not enough storage!? And yup I picked use storage on the device!?? Please help

There's another step that I had to do to fix that on my end. I had to go into the storage settings and move apps to SD card. That should help you.

Thank you for instructing on how to put in a SD card. I have a couple of questions that I hope you will answer. (1) You mentioned losing information when using the SD card but perhaps I misinterpreted it as I suppose you may have meant losing info on the SD card not the Kindle. (2) I realized I wouldn’t be able to use my case if I left the SD card permanently in the Kindle. Did your kids have trouble leaving the card in permanently. I would prefer leaving it in permanently but would feel like my Kindle wasn’t protected. Thank you, Kathryn 🎃

I want my toddler to watch specific KZbin videos while we’re in a flight but the fire tablet doesn’t allow me to download KZbin videos. I used a different tablet to download KZbin videos to sdcard but now I’m not sure how to access them on kindle fire kids. I inserted the card but I don’t want to erase everything on the card like you mentioned. I don’t even know where to find the videos either. Please help! Thank you!

I chose the top choice of storage for apps, media and videos. One thing as of this posting is: I wanted to add files via PC but the Window 10 PC does not even show the external drive, only the internal drive.

I switched to parent profile, I am working with two tablets Amazon fire 10 kids. Both brand new Sandisk Ultra microDXC UHS-I cards 128 GB read as corrupt in the settings section- storage. I touched the corrupt notice and it asked me if I wanted to format the card. From there it went ok.

I’m so frustrated! The fire 10 doesn’t seem to recognize the card that was suggested by Amazon. It’s 128 GB. No screen popped up, like in your video. I unlocked the tablet and went to storage. The ‘SD card’ option seems like it’s trying to pop up for a split second, then nothing. HELP!

I had this same thing happen but if you watch the video, you have to go to your profile then settings and it works
