Great video .. errr .. I mean audio :D I always though canards infront exaggerated any slight climb / dive the pilot input, while at the rear, the plane would be self levelling. Thus less stress on pilots with a conventional setup. v

The key design feature that Burt Rutan documented was ensuring that the canard always stalled first - ensuring that the main wing could never stall. Fighters perform best if they are only marginally stable thus having best manoeuvrability. Modern (post 1980) fighters are positively unstable and can’t be flown at all without computer assistance.
