He had been misdiagnosed for about seven years. All the while lyme disease and wrong medication destroyed his body and took it's toll on his mind. He seemd to do a lot better after one and a half year of treatment in Canada. But unfortunately he has a big flare up right now and he will have to undergo more intensive treatment. You’re the first reactor I’ve seen pick up on the line, “I Just can’t think” and interpret it as a symptom. It stuck out for me, too. Doctors trying to tell him he’s got a psychological disorder and not listening to him when describing actual symptoms. The determination it took for him to get to where he is is nothing less than super-human.

You are fine. He is Ren. Please watch his 1 million subscriber video. Defining Success. 5 minutes and so mych will be explained. His health was completely evaluated when he wrnt to Canada in January of last year. He cried when learned the extent of his brain and neurogical damage. He has been doung brain retraining trying to open new pathways. His memory is awful. Music is his saving grace because he hyper focuses on it. He has has emotion issues from day 1, not only since 19 and Lyme disease. Big issue now is MCAS which is progressive and has no cure. He has to begin again trying to get rid of Bartonella Co infection. He has amassed the most beautiful, caring community of fans. Proud to be one.

Ren often references songs in other songs and there are common threads like the pig, but the only songs that have an order you have to follow are the Tales. Kujo Beat Down won't make a lot of sense without background (Sick Boi, Hi Ren, Money Game 3 and the 35 minute video explaining why Sick Boi was removed from streaming). While people insist you have to watch the 8 chapters on RenMakesStuff for Trouble, the song was actually made to stand alone... they just fill in details. Money Game 1-3 and Love Music 1-4 are just loosely connected themes but not anything you have to worry about to comprehend or spoil. That's pretty much it!

I think you reacted to this right on time. Ren is from the UK and Lyme disease is rare, so they never tested him for it. They diagnosed him with stuff he didn't have and gave him meds he didn't need. The reason why people wanted you to react to this first is because it might be taken down at some point. There is a legal battle going on. If you are interested he has a 35 min video explaining everything. You should watch it before Kujo Beat Down or you will be lost. Trust You will love the 3 Money Games. Ren's music has a lot of substance. He knows how to have fun too! Thoughts and prayers for your mom.

Yes, you got the order of viewing perfectly. Sick Boi was recorded before Hi Ren using the same basement setting, but he released it shortly after Hi Ren. Excellent reaction to my favorite musical truth-teller! And yes, the Tale of Jenny and Screech (the full version) is the Renegade "right of passage," you could say. Another dark theme, but Ren has a lot of lighthearted tracks, too, and a great sense of humor to balance things out!

Watch his 1m subscribers video on defining success to understand what I mean ❤ Anyway our favourite sick boi is pure authenticity and fire 🔥 He has been through hell and he has turned it all into art that helps other people. I think a perfect follow up to this track is one of my personal favourites that doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it deserves: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning. If Sick Boi is an expression of the built up frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years, Crutch is the earlier fear when getting sick and not knowing what is happening to you. The song is also very different from everything else in his catalogue 🐰🕳️

So, for me, before Autism was updated in DSM-5 and including that it can be in adults as well as children, psychologists and psychiatrists declared me as Borderline Personality Disorder, Bi-Polar, and mental psychosis so was put on everything from Prozac to Lithium. Finally, after getting a dox, my life started to make sense with the frustration that no one really understood what I was going through. With an inflamed liver now, some partly due to years of medications, I can 100% relate to this song and a few other events in Ren's life. Many of us can relate to him and his music.

It's nice here, we have cookies 🍪😁 You will find that you can't easily describe his music because he tackles nearly every genre and style and they're all wonderful. The pig is a big symbol for the whole sick boy album. A lot of people think it's a combination of the greedy and the medical community/big pharma and the way they treat their patients. I don't think it's a coincidence that the pig is dressed like a butcher, either. He was misdiagnosed for nearly a decade and continuously ignored or told he just had depression, etc. to the point it literally gave him mental health issues. I can't imagine how difficult it would be in that situation, finally finding proper treatment and doctors who care but you know there has to be an underlying feeling of resentment and suspicion regarding his treatments or anything else remotely medical at this point.

Ren suffered with excruciating pain 23 hours a day. with all the Drs. he went to they gave him pills that was the disaster that took half his life. Being asked in Sick Boi about his childhood Ren needed relief not to talk about his childhood. Ren knew how wrong the Drs were. Ren is highly skilled he is brilliant! He needs a lot of rest still he was working on so much before he got sick he couldn't complete his work That was bothering him a lot he didn't want to let his fans down. Ren is the master of talent with appreciation and love for his fans.We are his renegades we will always love and protect him as much as we can.Hope he gets so much better very soon. lol Lets pray for Ren and everyone else God Bless all

This is what he was referring to in the monologue at the end of Hi Ren. Don't worry about replaying Ren's songs. They're so meaningful and lyric rich that we know it's hard to digest everything the first view. Yes you will be saying Wow a lot from now on! And yes it makes sense that you cannot describe him. We Renegades just say his genre is Ren bc there's no other way to put words to it. I'm sorry your mum us livingwith Lyme's Disease. I hope she is managing her symptoms well. ❤ Ren's story is that he was bitten as a teenager but had no idea. In Britain, Lyme's is not common at all so when he started getting symptoms and kept going to the drs, they didn't find anything physically wrong (bc they weren't looking for it). So after going back so many times he was considered it was all in his head (hence this video). He was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression, anxious etc.. and given psych meds that then really made everything even worse culminating with Ren having episodes of psychosis plus not being able to eat normally, being in severe chronic pain and excessive fatigue to the point that he spent 23 hrs of a day in bed. This was all of his late teens and early to late 20s. 7 years of hell without knowing what was wrong with him and slowly going mad. Eventually a dr from Brussels diagnosed him and put him on antibiotics which instantly helped. Ren then had some stem cell transplants which also helped and he started making music again. Unfortunately, Ren's health has recently taken a turn for the worse and is away from everything recovering (he collapsed while filming a video a couple of weeks ago). So he still has a way to go. However, despite all his health issues Ren has managed to create some of the best music out there and i am glad you (and i expect your mother at some point too) will be able to enjoy it. If you are interested in Ren's health journey, he recently did a series of chapters on his second channel @remakesstuff which he made to raise awareness of the conditions he now suffers with as a result. It's hard hitting but a vivid testament to Ren's incredible resilience and beautiful soul. I hope you do give it a go one day. Each chapter ends with a carefully chosen song too. Thank you for your reaction ❤ Ps. My advice for your reaction of the Tales is to choose the version where all three are together and in order from Ren's channel. Take your time with it. We don't care if the video is long. Getting the ending is everything bc it's so impactful. But for that you need to pay close attention to what he says. But the video is very distracting because of his use of the guitar, the fact each video is a live one shot, the use of the ambient, his acting, his singing, everything! So please feel free to rewind if you find your mind has drifted away from the story and hopefully everything will make sense in the end. Caution...it can be triggering for some people. Feel free to take time to digest everything at the end and come back when your ready to give your final thoughts too.

Aloha to the rabbit hole, so called when you start the journey into Ren's music. I'm subscribing 😊 You started out in a pretty decent order. You can choose a couple of paths to go down. There's the Money Game Trilogy, The Tale of Jenny and Screech (watch the long, three video version. It's long, but needs to be seen in order.) There's also a couple of diss tracks, one short and kind, the other with an explanation of why Sick Boi got taken down for awhile, and then Kujo Beat Down, a song for the producer of that sick beat, who did Ren very dirty. Whichever path you take, you'll find Renegades in your comments, encouraging you. Your mom might actually benefit from some Ren. Anyone who has existed in chronic illness can resonate with his message. It brings most of us great comfort.

This isn't like NF, you don't have to worry too much about the order of things :) This is indeed the same room they did Hi Ren in. They had to go through some hoops to get back into the basement to film the last talking part of Hi Ren so they chose to do this one here as well. This is the song where Ren bought the beat and the sample of the Bulgarian choir in it was stolen by the guy who sold him that beat. The reason Kujo Beat Down the song exists is because of the greedy shit Kujo. the beat maker, did and the reason we're wary of the song being taken away again. Ren went through hell for 6 years before he was properly diagnosed. His song Troubles (studio or live version) explains a bit more about what he's gone through. Seven Sins is another banger that explains as well.

Yes it will be a long reaction, but we won't care a bit. Also, now that you've seen Sick Boi, do NOT watch Kujo Beat Down without first watching his 35 minute explanation of the entire legal battle. You wouldn't necessarily need to react to that (up to you) but you'll appreciate the Kujo Beat Down video way more when you get the context and what it's regarding. Pretty much any order is fine with the exception of Jenny and Screech. Ren has the trilogy up as 1 vid on his channel- it's the 13 min one. If you decide to click each individual video the order is Jenny, Screech then Violet. This one matters because of the story.

You're fine. Sick Boi and Hi Ren are separate, related only because it's by Ren about Ren. There will be overlapping messages. Contrary to the very loud opinions, the only general rule is if something is numbered, do them in order. Even then, the world will not end. Don't let even the well-meaning fans bully you. There is no wrong answer - other than DO IT ALL 😁

The last Chapter (8) song is Troubles, which I believe you have already done. My favorite is Patience | Ren Gill | M.E. version (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGmXppqkiMSlq7M) which is from about 2014/15 when he was still looking for a correct diagnosis (chronic fatigue syndrome was his diagnosis and this was part of a documentary "Unrest" about CFS or M.E.). His girlfriend at the time - Bibi- helped raise money for the campaign to get his correct diagnosis - See the "Crutch" video where she's featured. So many songs to do for Ren. He has over 200 videos on the YTs.... Welcome to the journey.
