Historic Portugal cause HUGE upset | Fiji v Portugal | Rugby World Cup 2023 Extended Highlights

In the final match of the Pool stage at Rugby World Cup 2023, Portugal made history after winning their ever RWC match! After strong performances against Wales and Australia and a draw against Georgia, Os Lobos went into their final Pool D game against Fiji in Toulouse knowing a victory would be a huge upset against a side who needed just one point to make the quarter-final. After a close first half, Portugal wing Rodrigo Marta scored in the final minute before Samuel Marques slotted the conversion to snatch victory and make history out in France.

I've come back and watched these highlights at least 4 times now. Truly one of the all-time greatest rugby matches. Portugal left their whole heart on the field and you can see the pure elation in their faces when they win. Brilliant.

As a south african I can honestly say that Portugal are without a doubt my favourite team of the tier 2 nations. Respect to Portugal you guys showed the will and love to play and not just to participate but to go and win against a team nobody was expecting you guys to win against. Big Respect !!!! A pointless exercise bro. If you've watched rugby for as long as I have or any sport for that matter bad calls are just part of the game. It always has been. No matter how much technology is involved there will be 50/50 calls after all they are human and will make mistakes. And for those that bag the referee I guarantee you they've never reffed a game in their life. It's not as easy as it looks. Armchair critics are the worse because it's easier to sit at home and criticise.
