The Prior Tekno truggies were tougher than Arrma cars with a little bit of M2C love to remove the flex from the chassis, but M2C havent really dont as much for the 48 2.0 Any racing Truggy will be quicker and handle better than bashing rigs, just they way they are built, how the shocks are set up, how the chassis flexes, where the centre of gravity is, how much lighter they are etc etc etc

I’ve been running my ET48 2.0 for a while. I commented a while back your video made me decide to get one. Great truck my favourite and go to I think in the collection. The only thing, I can’t decide if I like truggy tires on it for bashing (Duratrax x-cons) or the Arrma Bakflip LP. I have both sets. It’s a bit heavier with the bakflips but not a lot. I did install the M2C bashing chassis as well. Great video and channel I watch all your stuff. thanks again 👋🇨🇦
@HardcoreRC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes the ET 48 2.0 is a great truggy and the fact you have gone with the M2C chassis must make it a right tank and a joy to drive and bash. Unfortunately we have never tried the duratrax, do like the Backflip LP's for bashing, just the right size and weight for bashing the ET. Will have to see if we can get those Duratrax over hear as they sound like a good option to the Back Flip LP's

Hey Dave killer truck mate I'm buying one shortly myself. With the LP's and their slightly larger diameter than Truggy racing tyres I was thinking that the shocks will bottom out before the chassis hits the ground putting major load on them is that the case mate? With you guys loving your jumps and sending cars to the moon those shocks wouldn't last too long..Cheers..
@HardcoreRC8 ай бұрын
Hi, we dont send the Tekno, just use it for bash racing, as i call it. If you are going to send it would suggest getting a metal front chassis brace and the rear one, or the front drive shaft will bend. Here it is being bash raced at ARC facebook.com/ARC.Raceway.uk The LP's are not much different size wise than normal truggy tires so the shocks dont bottom out before the chassis hits the ground

Really thinking about getting an 8th scale truggy kit for bashing. I had an arrma kraton but I want more quality and to build it myself. I’m figuring all the arrma 6s vehicles are based off of 8th scale buggy and truggy platforms so a tekno or TLR or even an associated 8th scale would be even better. Unless the race kits have stiffer “brittle” plastics that I’m overlooking 🤔
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
The Tekno ET is a great RC Handles so well as its designed to race, this also means that the stock chassis whilst very very good is designed to flex, these means that on heavy bashing you will likely bend the front drive shaft, the way to fix this is the add some M2C goodness in the form of chassis, top plate and rear brace, this would make the Tekno a solid basher and they dont suffer from brittle plastic
@blackbirdrc83483 жыл бұрын
@@HardcoreRC Hey thanks for the reply! Good stuff to know for sure. I've had arrmas and noticed, Hey. These are just 8th scale buggies and truggies! I'm pretty sure the tekno comes with 7075 aluminum chassis/shock towers. Good stuff.
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
@@blackbirdrc8348 Yes the Tekno does come with 7075 chassis, shock towers and hinge pin blocks, The Chassis however has areas cut out to allow it it flex. as the flex is needed for racing, so whilst it wont bend like a stock Arrma, it will flex, this flex then causes the drive shaft to bend in heavy bashing. The M2C parts remove this flex, so better for bashing but not so good if you intend to race

For racing the Tekno hands down, just handles so well, but it wont take the abuse the Kraton EXB will, need M2C to come out with some braces, the Orange one at the end bent the front drive shaft from that crash
@paulclancy24043 жыл бұрын
Wow id thought you say techno stronger , we know the diffs are 😆, I don't feel so bad having a arrma collection instead buying kits which ultimately the same price maybe a little more, when the arrmas hit for 500 rtr you couldn't beat them now they getting up to kit prices .
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
@@paulclancy2404 have to remember from kit the Teknos are made for racing so have a lot of chassis flex. Once M2C come out with their chassis braces then I’m pretty sure the Tekno will be stronger than the Arrma’s, there arms are stronger, 7075 hubs, better diffs etc

Apparently the body was inspired by a drawing stuck on the front of the designer's fridge.
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
That may be the case, i actually like it now, it stands out from all the other same looking Truggy bodies that you cant tell what is what, Plus the body performs very very well

Its a great truggy, may just need better braces if you want to bash it a bit harder as chassis is designed to flex for the racers

I guess 3 people don’t like what you do! Probably trolls. 🤷🤷. I am not too big of a fan of the body, but I can see it growing on me. Calum drove AMAZING!! . Drone shots were amazing!! I think it is just superior against all others at the track! (Don’t know if the grammar is correct there🤣🤣)
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
LOL some people just love to hate, the more we grow the bigger bottle of salt i think we will need 😂 I wasnt a fan of the body and nearly cancelled my order due to the body, but now we have the car and seen it in the flesh its really gown on me. Hope to have more drone shots going forward as the DJI FVP as great for flying and tracking
@bigandcoolrcschool2943 жыл бұрын
@@HardcoreRC If I get it, I think I’ll like it too, but no guarantees. 🤣. Love the salt bottle phrase. 🤣. Cant wait to see what drone shots you can come up with!
@Tireblaster3 жыл бұрын
Great video and driving. I think the tires actually gave you an advantage over the truggy tires on the ET48.3. You could clearly see that the ET48.3 did not have as much grip on this track. Would be interesting to see the difference between the two cars with the same setup and equally skilled drivers... I doubt that there would a big difference between them then.
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
Tires we will soon see about as now have 6Mik truggy pins, but all accounts the pins are supposed to be better than the backflips (that's what all the racers say 🤷♂️), we don't race professionally and just like to have fun, but from what im seeing the ET48 2.0 beating the ET 48.3 in races

Speaking as a basher, thats hit a few branches of the ugly tree. But its only a body, im just not sure you could replace it with - the odd front nose of the body !

That truggy handles like a F1 race car! Calum is one talented driver!!! You chased em down like nothing! The body reminds me of a pig sticking his 🐽 through a hole in a fence ( petting zoo when I was a kid) Tekno don't get into the rc body business Just my opinion! Everyone has opinions and buttcracks! What? The drone flying and video was AWESOME DUDE!!! MORE IN VIDS PLEASE?🥺
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
Im thinking i need to get the boys into racing now and see how they do 😂 love the petting zoo comparison 😂😂 Should be more drone footage of the cars coming in vids as we get used to flying it more, oh and get more batteries for it

@@HardcoreRC Your boy's will do great racing!!! Nerves might get them the first heat? That body🤢 Love the Blue!!! By the end of that vid,the drone driver? Was on spot! 3 or 4 more vids and he's good!quick learner! I put the 40mm ×28mm fans back to 3a. Anything that spins that fast won't for long! I found them in the usa brand new! Even though refurbished fans like these work just fine! Thank you for that fan info💯👍👍👍👍👍 Cheaper than gamechanger fans! Just as good! Sorry gamechanger fans!!!

@@rcjunkie260 Thanks, need to find a racing track club near us and see how they get on and if they enjoy it. Was me piloting the DJI FPV, to be fair even in sports mode its nice and easy to fly, if you lose it just let go of the controls and it will stop and hover 👍 but will still hit 65mph if you need it to, its a blast to fly. Yeah they fans are a great upgrade, probably wise putting them back to 3s, dont want the car taking off 😂😂
@rcjunkie2603 жыл бұрын
@@HardcoreRC wow nice piloting! Not long and people will ask you to do drone video work for them! As lo g as the boys don't have many parts to replace in between heats ok! I raced oval stock cars for a couple years. It can be stressful and not too happy! With today's RC's shouldn't have many breaks!
@HardcoreRC3 жыл бұрын
@@rcjunkie260 Thanks, although the DJI FPV does make it a lot easier than full macro flying. Never know with the boys, they may suddenly see a ramp and go into send it mode 😂 Oval stock cars sounds like fun
