Unless they can tackle the specter of large multi-modal models from the big players subsuming what their agent and prompting frameworks (and/or custom fine tuned models, if they've gone that far) produced by their small startup -- they are doomed to having their lifestyle startup bucket-list experience, then closing up shop.

@@MonkeySimius first ask what give humans "intelligence". Why can't we just be doing (on a basic level) the same as what AI is doing. I'm not saying the current tech won't get their but I'm saying this tech will make advances that will improve the tech. for example. We still don't have in memory processing. This is a bottleneck and humans do that. This AI tool will help with lots of advancements like material science. So we will one day find say a memristor. We also haven't learnt why they are so good, so expect advacements in mathematics to understand why they are good and then shape them better. the compute is doubling every year in the last 10 years. No on could have believed how advance these basic AI's could be. I could easily see in 50 years that we'll have "sentient" AI's with intelligence that exceeds humans. We literally not even started yet. And we'll have better hardware, better algorithmns, better understanding. what even is real time? an AI can write a whole book in seconds. give it 50 years and AI's would consider us very very slow in our thinking and understanding. Just imagine how far we've come in 100 years of discovering the transistor. now imagine a 100 years of advancing this tech.

thats brilliant...people dont actually like coding ,alot think they do but coding is just writing down your logic thought processes , testing and automating .Its usually one of 3 things they really like either solving problems using modern tooling or money or having something to do to pass time. All of those things can be achieved separately for individuals without jobs ,with AI as a tool and people might find they are actually happier due to AI taking their jobs and giving them back passion that lead them to the jobs and to do things without a master in the form of a boss and bills . Government are our main bottlenecks because they will be too slow to adapt and people will be left in poverty while some billionaires are doing what governments should have done with the AI to ensure the safty of citizens after jobs are replaced . Job loss is good but basic housing and survival loss is a huge problem that is not as hard to solve as people think .

Your waiting for Disclosure there’s a massive difference. If arrival means the creation or discovery of AGI then its already been achieved or declared internally behind closed doors. If “arrived” means you have access or that it’s publicly announced that date continues to get pushed back for various reasons. People waiting for the announcement to accept this reality are beyond naive with zero situational awareness and commonsense. Just the way the leaks, blatant hints, and optimistic rhetoric that once came from OAI had immediately stoped makes it more evident. They went near silent. The shifts in policy and alignment goals. Even the last few leaked/released emails further demonstrate that OAI are more likely to keep information from the public. AGI is most valuable behind closed doors. Besides you don’t rush out with a bullhorn yelling to the world when you have the most powerful and significant discovery on human history. You test and align for multiple years. A timeline that aligns with Sams predictions. Disclosure and discovery is entirely different. We are awaiting Disclosure.

It's becoming common knowledge that most KZbin comment moderation is now done by AI, which makes it extra dystopian when my comments about AI taking jobs from humans get censored. "Don't Be Evil." You really have to laugh.

Now ask it to build a RDBMS with feature parity with Postgresql or SQLite, and see how that goes. Or, ask it to build a KZbin clone that actually supports billions of views per minute without going down. Meaning, whether you have a job or not depends on whether you are able to do very complex stuff that an AI can't tackle or not (meaning anything beyond a simple web/mobile app). Time to study.

After watching this video, I want to say only one thing: if this software engineer AI becomes successful, it could cause a lot of companies to suffer losses. Look, if AI starts creating websites, there won't be any role left for humans behind. In the process, AI will start developing AI itself automatically because if AI becomes successful in developing other AIs, 50 to 60 percent of companies worldwide will incur losses. In this manner, gradually, humans will have nothing left in their hands, and even the buyer of these things could turn out to be AI. Now, let's see what unfolds in the future.

Human developers bring creativity, intuition, domain expertise, and the ability to understand complex requirements and user needs in ways that AI currently cannot fully replicate. Additionally, human developers play crucial roles in collaboration, communication, and decision-making within development teams, which are essential for creating successful software products.

What I can conclude from here is it is still not able to think like an engineer , it can just follow instructions , typically how an AI system works, learn patterns and generate sequences based on input. But not thinking if it is right or wrongs or if the input is not provided precisely(as happens in most products or projects cases) so as to exactly what the customer wants to solve his problem is a big big miss here. Reading blog post or writing basic code modules are not why engineers are paid so high. I can see it can assist engineers evaluate stuffs faster and make them efficient
