An incredible track, journey and scenery..... In Russia (where I've spent much of the last decade) there's a 4,300km offroad track which was used to service the construction of the Baikal-Amur-Mainline railway - it's known as the the BAM Road but is largely a track which you wouldn't even contemplate without a very serious 4x4 vehicle or offroad motorbike. It involves river crossings, bogs and even some decaying/semi-collapsed bridges.... A very different challenge to the Canning Stock Route - but an adventure in its own right. Temperatures in that part of Siberia are often -50 to below -60 Celsius in winter, so you'd have to be "keen" to even think about attempting it outside the warmer months.

I just finished watching these two parts, quite to my surprise, in one long continuous go, and have to say thank you so much for both the storytelling and the time you spent on the photography as well. I expected to find lots of videos of people just driving for long periods, but your content was as unexpected as I could have imagined. I putter around in the various flight simulators and thought this would be a fun remote area to fly along. I wanted to get a feel for what the region really looks like to help fill in the mental gaps even the best data and graphics can't. So grateful I found this and I hope you enjoy many more days in such beautiful, remote country.

Great mate re corrugated roads . My father, born in 1901, told me that the roads went to corrugated when automatic transmissions appeared in vehicles. Folks just put their foot in the pail and spun the tires. I’m on the east coast. Awesome to see. Thanks

Interesting but not true. I believe two-wheel drive vehicles or 4x4s being driven in two-wheel drive contribute greatly to corrugations. They were a feature of the Namib and Kalahari long before auto-transmissions came along, but never in places were one had no choice but to engage 4WD. I was there.

I understand what you're talking about when you find the right speed. It becomes much smoother, and you can feel like you're racing in the Dakar because of the speed you need. We had our front shocks blow while driving on wash boards, or what you call corrugation. At first, I thought the motor blew up. There was a big oil cloud that enveloped us and I could not understand why the truck was running with no problem. Then I had realized it was the shocks. We have had great luck with Bilstein shocks.

That is so good. I just got to know your work a couple of weeks ago and then after a couple of videos I stumble into this one. What a piece of art. I really appreciate the effort you put into all your work. It's so well edited, with with videos for the sound of the birds, the drone shots, even when you're just taking about the vehicle or the places it all just adds so much value to the content. It makes who like this sort of adventures to be aware of the possibilities of customization and also how to plan, what to do, how to do. You make it all very clear, with no rush. In the end this trips are worthed every single moment which most of them you've showed us. Really thank you from a Brazilian loving in Sydney. All the best and keep on going Andrew.
