Worlds Smallest FPV RC Car!!!! - Q25 from SNT and Diatone Review

This 1:100 FPV RC Car is an awesome little toy. It won't be replacing my built up FPV cars but it's a great entry to the hobby for not too much money. The goggles it comes with will work with other analog VTXs so you can use them if you build your own car too.

Nice one! ...Got me thinking..Someone should design a chassis that holds the dji 03 unit so we can just drive that around. Build it around a 2s 4000 mAh, Incorporate a cooling system and you'd have pretty much the best 1/24 available. There you go Chadd..hint..hint 😜🤙

Hahhah I promise I’ve been working on it 😅 Getting the O3 to ‘arm’ and hit full power mode requires some fancy stuff (flight controller with custom remote setup) so it’s been a pain to make it “easy”. It is coming though! 🙏

@@ChaddRainsFPV Cool, cool ...Hey bud, Why do you think DJI designed it this way? You'd think it would have a simple Regulator with an Arm and Disarm switch huh? I've got a brand new 03 unit and new Goggles 2 but am hesitant to even throw them on a Car as I cant see the point of having a camera in Standby. I'm pretty sure if I had of known this I would had gone with Walksnail... Its just so frustrating. How far do you actually get in Standby? Thanks man 🙏✌

@@Top-Jimmy It’s because they have no idea things other than 4 bladed quadcopter drones exist. They didn’t purposely restrict us, they just thought it would be a good idea to stop people from burning their gear out by adding an Arming function. Basically you have to wire this to an FC and have a receiver arm the fc, in order to get full power. It’s not impossible and you’ll have twice the range of walksnail (through a dense environment) with O3 if you put the work in. The other option is to look up the Arduino O3 arming mod. It’s cheaper and if you know how to do Arduino stuff it’s easier too

@@ChaddRainsFPV The Arduino mod... I've seen guys messin with in the USA and have been considering finding someone here in Australia to pay to set mine up and be done with it. I think I've told you before, I have early onset Alzheimer's at 55yrs old and sometimes the smallest of tasks seem like a full blown contract to start. I might talk to someone here at Phaser FPV and see if they have anyone close by that can take it on. My support worker is in the same boat sorta... We both have these units and a heap of suitable cars with ELRS and Xfire etc.. That's the easy part. Have you messed around with the 4GLTE Mods before mate? It looks flawless?

@@Top-Jimmy the 4g stuff has too much latency to go over 15-20mph, so I stay away but it’s great for some people. If you want to find my email and reach out I can link the tutorial, so if you can find someone close that can program and Arduino board it’s not nearly as much work 🤙

FPV RC car racing would be awesome if they tracks made for it! I feel like a lot of people try this on a normal course and it’s too bumpy to have fun. But smooth track would be sick!

@@ChaddRainsFPV Make a track from a roll of carpet..glue down the barriers etc... works great. Or an old table tennis table works pretty good too but not good for fast stuff, These would be a bit zippy for a TT table. FPV RC Cars are still catching on, I wish everyone could experience it...they'd be hooked.

Woah this is a repurposed Q steer car. The originals go for big money. Would be crazy if they started using the Tamiya collaboration chassis.

I just looked em up, those things are pricey! I think this Q25 actually looks just as good, although a bit funky with the cam on top lol. The internals look quite a bit different but the chassis design was inspired by the Q Steer, I’m sure. Maybe that’s where the “Q” in Q25 comes from 🤔

@@ChaddRainsFPV you’re right they replaced all the janky 2000’s internals with modern ones. Would be interesting if this chassis was offered as an upgradable thing with brushless motors and all
