I just watched a podcast where he said they talked to yamaha for renewal of the contract and yamaha just played dirty games on them, and yamaha told him not everything is about money. Then when they just about to switch to BMW and sign a contract, Yamaha immadietly paniced and sent him a really good contract and he turned it down saying not everything is about money. Yamaha did not give him the respect he deserved thats why he switched to BMW. just wanted to let you know Yamaha shouldnt play dirty games on their racers, if they respect their racers. :)

I said after he won his first race with Kawasaki he is gonna be the champion soon. People were making jokes, laughing and nobody was with me. Not even from Turkey nobody cared back then. Well . L'anno scorso era sempre obbligato a dare il 120% per poter cercare di stare con Bautista. E purtroppo molte volte la Yamaha non gli permetteva di andare oltre il secondo posto. A Yamaha quello è sempre.bastato ma a Toprak NO. Ora con la Bmw Toprak è felice Perchè ha trovato ciò che mancava nella moto precedente. Il team vuole vincere e tutti lavorano duramente. Questo Motiva ancora di più Toprak. E io credo, se dio Vuole, che quest'anno vincerà il campionato con BmW. Grande pilota e persona.

I have never seen a rider steering wildly and bidirectionally while being fully inclined in fast curves - except Toprak. Obviously this means that he is sliding over front and rear wheel permanently...unbelievable!

There's something very warm about Toprak (unless you're racing him!) but with someone this spectacular there will always be the great MotoGP question. JR dodged it and became a legend in WSBK but Toprak is exactly at the sweet spot in his career and it would surprise me if he doesn't take it on. He's got the talent and backing in the form of Kenan and I think he would suit the Yamaha with it's emphasis on handling. Particularly if they pull their finger out and get their bike near the front. Perhaps the biggest barrier will be the long and low MotoGP bike's reluctance to do a stoppie - a stoppieless Toprak victory is just hollow.

Actually, he is quite interested. He has a contract with BMW until the end of 2025, and in interviews he has done in Turkish, he mentioned that he might want to try MotoGP either at the end of this year or at the end of his contract. However, he wants to do this trial with a strong factory team and is considering offers. He said that he definitely does not want to retire without trying it. He also thinks that this is the perfect time in his life to do it.

It's just that with someone as obviously talented as Toprak you just want to see how far they would go, I mean Fogarty, Bayliss, Rea, they're all absolute greats but could they have been a Rossi, Marquez or Pecco? Alternatively wouldn't it be great to see what he could do on the WSBK Honda? if he won on that no more would need to be said.

I don't argue about the excellent qualities of the rider, but the absurd rules of super concessions on the one hand and the penalties that castrate others make the championship distorted and boring, we need to help motorbikes like BMW with super concessions and remove the penalties from the other riders so that the riders they can see each other on the track if they're interested in seeing which bike and rider is the best, otherwise let's see something else!!
