Yes...ambassadors for your country! Love that! We raised/are raising our 6 kids overseas, living in 5 different countries in Europe and Asia - 20 were husband in military and now as a contractor. So, for those who have kids who are contemplating their future careers the military will pay for college and give an opportunity to travel. Our boys always were in Boy Scouts on base and they did some amazing traveling as well. We lived in local neighborhoods, learned languages, building relationships that last to this day. If a family w/kids is able to leave the US - if the husband is interested in applying to jobs overseas - it would be a fun and profitable journey! Internet keeps us all connected and your “home base” is a jumping point to further locations.

When she says you fall in love with people you live among them. ❤️ That's very biblical. Paul did that when spreading the gospel.

THANK YOU! One of the cores of my homeschool is a study on the National Parks of the US. I'm looking forward to creating more trips, long trips as the children get older.

You’ve recommended “The Children’s Story Bible” as your favorite living book for teaching the Bible. Does this book’s creation account say “Let us make man in our image”? Most ones I’ve seen has God say “Let me make man in my image”.

i don't see it using either of those phrases. it says things like ""Only man is created in God's image." The author does in other places affirm the Trinity is three persons, one God.

I believe you are referring to a different video on Favorite Living Books for Teaching Bible. In that video, I encourage parents to read directly from the Bible as much as possible. I like to use The Child's Story Bible to supplement as needed with specific accounts (as described in the video). So I would encourage you to read the creation account directly from the Bible. To answer your question, The Child's Story Bible states, "The Bible tells us that God created man in his own image," quoting Genesis 1:27.

Thanks so much for the response! I’ve wasted money on several other children’s story Bibles in the past 😳 And this one looks great.

Is it possible for foreign nationals to join the US homeschooling system from abroad? The parents travel a lot because of work.

This is not a question we are able to answer. We'd like to encourage you to contact HSLDA to find out more about this specific question: hslda.org
