I like the fact that the 2nd and 3rd places are smilieng at the end , running is such a dificult thing to do that at the end even if you lost the race you feel like a winner inside just because you finished it.

+Samuel Matos That's the thing about running, it's not about how good your bike was, or how fast your car is, it's about you and you alone, and when you've run the best race of your life or even of the week for that matter, where you placed just doesn't seem that important.

+Y10Q Sorry to hear that. I too once experienced a "heart murmur" after a race. Started the cool down then all of a sudden my heart "raced" to an ungodly speed. Most painful experience. I just sat down thinking this was it. Luckily subsided after five minutes. Never told anybody that day even though it showed. People asked if I was ok but I just told them it was the race. Again sorry to hear of your loss.

That moment made me fall in love with running.

If I wasn't a terrible swimmer then I would have tried this a few years ago.

I always think oh it’s the last mile just sprint it no big deal, but then I remember I can barely sprint my first mile and that these guys literally went through hell to get to that last mile.

...that go go juice is good stuff. Got to a sub 4-min mile training from elementary school by the time I was in high-school not missing a day of training (with absurd/natural testosterone levels)... holy goodness how these guys do it at the end of a triathlon when it was never common 30+ years ago while fresh.

This was good, but for me it was Sydney Olympics 2000. Simon Whitfield was caught in an accident on bike and dropped from the chase pack to 26th after the bike. He made up all the time and won the gold in a sprint over the final 300 metres.
