I first overheard this whilst staying at a friend’s in Bradford in 1984. Hungover in the morning and heard from somewhere else in the house, I thought This is the music I’ve been waiting for all my life. And so it’s turned out to be. When all of us listening to this are dead, CT music will carry on and still have relevance. It’s pretty special.

Daniel, fifty years old here and I got right into the Cocteau Twins in the mid-1980s. Weirdly enough, I listened to a lot of metal as well (Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, Maiden etc.) but was obsessed with British Alt music. CT being one of my all time favorites as well as early Dead Can Dance. Lisa Gerard has a voice that rivals Fraser's in it's beauty. Two of my favorite, all time female vocalists! 🤘🏻

Firstly, Ive been drawn into this tune tonight from the radio earlier. Now im at the table at home, After my tea, And a cpl of ciders, After wrk, Its 11:15 pm, Satdy night, So i refer back to this deep deep perfection i heard earlier, I stumble on this vid, By all acounts is one of the best by these legends. And im.watching, And im in tears Its just so timeless, The wsy its grabbed me, And just dragged me back FORTY YEARS to when i was 8yrs old. Just learning music from.my older sis who was 14, And massivly into these, and soft cell, and the cure, and suixie.... AMIDST AN INVASION, of bboys music from the u.s... Massivly changing times then, For many, many reasons... And this tunes just draggedme back there, To feel the EXACT same feelings we had bsck then, Just afte our Dad had died, Just before my sister left, Just before everything i knew just failed, Just beford i discovered acid house on the bounce from deep electro, Fucking hell, As if life wasnt complicated enough back then in simple times, NOW LOOK AT US. 😣😣😣😣😣😣😣 God bless these times, And all that sailed in em 💖

I don't want to sound ironic or sound like a dreamer I just feel it all the time I always feel it I would bet you that I'm right but of course it's obvious that I would given that you already know that about me.
