I got told about this years ago never listened. First arc took me three times to get through. Finally did and I cannot stop. Wife calls...listening to worm... Friends hit me up.... Listening to worm.... Soo good.

Dinah using her power for the first time around 4:05:00 is awesome foreshadowing for the impending arrival of Leviathan. Coil - "This doesn't make any sense the numbers shouldn't skew this much, this fast" weird course of events on a first listen terrifying on a relisten.

Nah, It’s much more clearer this way. The robotic voice, and asian voices were very hard to hear.

@@bruht9921 disagree strongly. Whoever is reading this arc is so mumbly he's almost unintelligible. And the fact that he doesn't differentiate the voices means that it's often little hard to understand who is speaking especially since again he's very mumbly.

This story is pretty good, but my one major gripe is with the powers, they just make absolutely no sense. Like random people just get random powers pulled from a hat without rhyme or reason. And most of them suck so bad, and they all have some senseless obligatory drawback. Like usually in superhero stories powers are assigned in category in a way that makes sense, for instance telekinesis would paired with shield generation, both "mind" powers. But here it is completely random, and doesn't make any sense at all, like one day regular guy criminal just wakes up and boom, he can compress air, but only in the shape of claws, like seriously? Only in the shape of claws? I mean compressed air heats up and will explode, that's how deisel engines work, so either his claws are only compressed to a few hundred psi, at which point they are basically just decorative, or they are incredibly hot and he can just control the explosion somehow. And then the whole thing with the random drawbacks scattered loosely around if a power seems to good, it's just so chaotic.

Have you finished the story? Have you been paying attention to the story? The powers aren't exactly random and neither is the way they are gained.
@darreners12 жыл бұрын
Powers are granted by Trigger Events, events that happened to people with an certain mutation in the brain when they faced something traumatic. The limitations are from Manton Limits enforced from the very moment they gain the powers not to mention the power vials mentioned in Arc 5’s Interlude. I can explain why the Manton Limit exists but that completely spoils the story and one of it’s biggest plot twists.

How powers work and from where they come from is something slowly revealed through the story. It all makes sense when you finish it.

Is the reader doing 'the black guy voice' on purpose or is he just unconsciously racist? Super cringy.
@Pakyakachu4 жыл бұрын
Black people usually sound a certain way. Not racist just dialect. And correct term is predjudice, which is pre judging someone before knowing them racism is hate towards another race, not petty misconceptions.

I think he's just invoking a deep voice because Gru is a large, imposing, deep-voiced man.

@@GSPV33 The reader does not do this to other black/colored characters so I believe it is a character voice not a racial voice thing.
