I have been in a really dark period of my faith. Back in May I have suffered a job loss I still haven't been able to find work. I've got a wife and two kids to take care of. I am musician as well on a part of the worship team at my church. With this time I've tried to give more time to my church and the ministry I support. But I have to confess that I've felt forgotten about. I've had some real "dark night of the soul" moments. I don't know where he's at. I don't know what he's doing. I've exhausted just about every financial option I have. It's been hard. Feeling like a failure. Feeling like less of a man. Feeling like I'm failing as a father and a husband. But. I've seen God do too much. Obvious blatant miracles. Peace joy happiness being given to people in the darkest of times. So. I won't say it's over I won't curse Your name I need You to pour out Your sufficient Grace I don't like how this feels If I'm honest I'm scared I will stay here till You answer I'm not going anywhere

@maryelisabeth-bm2jg Thank you. It's frustrating. I feel like I can see the light at the end of this tunnel. But I'm tired. Spiritually, emotionally, mentally exhausted. It's truly is leaning on him. That's scary and not easy for me. I like to have a plan and be in control, in this season that isn't an option.

I feel your desperation. I know well that darkness. As a guy that walks with many in the recovery world of brokeness, shame and relapse, the most profound element I've observed is 2 fold. In our brokeness, we feel God has left us. The reality is He's not moved...at all. He waits, he's a shepherd. He waits for the most powerful element of our recovery and that is surrender. It's a simple but often overlooked word. Sweet surrender. Also, admitting I can't do it alone. I need God and brothers in a common journey of recover and experiencing the life changing power of the Holy Spirit. Hope this helps. Grace to you brother. He is close and loves you
